I went through a phase of finding tinsel tacky on my tree. Now I use reeally narrow gold tinsel on there, and I like that better.
I like the way tinsel reflects the fairy lights, so Christmassy!:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
DamzelInDistress- Id sell them and use the money to have a lovely time at christmas with your DS, you were honest and called them so its not like youre being dishonest. No need to feel bad.
Maybe use a little of the money you make to buy a toy from Amazon (that way you can send it straight there and save on postage) and donate to postpals or similar? They seem to go for at least £20 on ebay or you could sell on facebook/netmums.

SugarSpun-Oh no what a pain, hope you have a nice day at the zoo anyway.
This seller has the cheapest bags, you can choose the colour and you get free ribbon.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cello-Cone-Bags-Cellophane-Party-Bags-Favour-gift-bags-/230655786860?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&var=&hash=item35b427ff6c
ShonaM-Sorry you have had a bad week.Hope your DS is ok? Well done on being organised and I hope this is a better week for you! x
gingernutbizkit-Wow well done you, amazing getting that all bought in a week! :T I think Ill start wrapping DS' soon, I usually refuse too unless its actually December but Im worried he'll find them!
I think the fur tree is odd lol, it looks like a mushroom.I also deleted the the christmas app from OHs phone as I didnt like it. (not sure if it was the one lots of you have got but sounds similar) I much prefer pen and paper but I am a listaholic.
Awww thanks hun, He is only 4 and is getting bullied by a another child. Other child is disabled (problem with his leg)and his mother seems to have forgot how to teach him right from wrong. DS who is a nervous quiet child got punched in the face last week and has been getting hit and punched by him for a few weeks. Don't blame the bully child as he has learnt of his mam who I know is being watched by social services for hitting him. Its had a huge impact on DS who is now hitting, punching and being very disruptive at home. He's been getting up at 4am everyday and causing mayhem....oh the joys lol xPPI Claims won £3000:j now free of all credit card debt after 10 years.

Forgot to say,,,I wouldnt have normally liked the fur tree but our house looks a bit like a modern ski chalet lol its all a bit scandanavian. Its a new build but partly cladded in wood. We ran with the theme when we decorated so everything is natural looking. Previous years everything was bright red, white and lime green and modern but nothing matches anymore. Im a neat freak lolPPI Claims won £3000:j now free of all credit card debt after 10 years.

I would sell both spares and donate the money - or more likely half the money - to charity.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
We bought that tree it matches our living room perfectly. The minks, greys and barks go really well with our living room. We got the card holder as well in the same colour and the bark baubles.
I havent been on for 2 weeks or so as ds is having a hard time in school. Its been exhausting!
I have got most of his presents from argos at the weekend so its just the stocking fillers to get for him.
I managed to get 2 of the bedrooms done, but ds new bed is coming in 3 weeks so got to paint his room before it arrives. We've had a right disaster in the last week. Our oldish cooker was blowing the electrics and parts wheres made anymore so had to buy a new one  then the microwave blew up!:mad::mad:
Just got my mam to buy for now and OH presents which is pretty straightforward. Made a list of the food shopping and things which we can get now. I feel pretty organised this year.
I just gave in and bought the faux fur Christmas tree too!couldnt help myself, went into store and they have faux fur cushions too which are amazing!
sorry to hear that your DS has been having a difficult time at school, I hope hes ok? I know there is nothing that makes my stomach twist and drop more than the hint there may be an issue at school, so you have all my sympathy and hope you are ok xx :)c0 -
Damzel_In_Distress wrote: »I have a dilemma. About 2 months ago i ordered the complete Mr men collection for DS from the book people. He's wanted it for ages as we only had a few and at £30 i didn't want to miss out because they often dont have it in stock for months at a time.
Anyway, after having literally the worst trouble of my life getting it delivered by Yodel, it finally arrived, 6 weeks later! Then during the past 2 weeks, 2 more sets have arrived.
I haven't been charged for them, I've rang the book people to see how they can be returned and have been told to 'keep them' for my 'trouble' . I asked the man if he was sure and he said to check the receipts in the boxex to see if they had charges on or not, and i said no they didnt, they both said £0.00 on the delivery order, and he said that they have been sent as a gesture of good will then to make sure i received my order after all the trouble i was having, so they were now mine to keep.
I'm not sure i feel right about it because they should cost £30 each, even more on other websites. What would other people do? Refuse to keep them and send them back? Or keep them and perhaps sell them on? I won't lie, I could really use the extra money as it would give me away to take DS out over christmas for a treat somewhere, such as the cinema etc. But i don't know....
In fact i wouldn't even know how or where to sell them if i did keep them?
*confused*
Not really xmas related i know, but Im puzzled about what to do.
How about sell one on Ebay and give the other to your local childrens hospital or charity? or a nursery school or charity shop - that way you get the best of both worlds? It isnt as though they don't know you've received 3 and they have said to keep them, so I would do that if it was me
there's no reason why you should feel bad about selling both though if you wanted to do that though, go for it! Youve been very honest making sure they know you've had 3 after all0 -

aww thanks! its been a long few weeks. We thought it was back to school nerves playing up and the fact he was in all day. The teacher is keeping an eye on him and more importantly the other kid. Im hoping he will either stop or get moved from the school. I would approach his mam but she looks like she could throw a good punch lol
awww I really fancy a fur throw and some cushions to go with it now! lol Im putting the car holder along the window and putting tea lights amongst it with some twigs etc. I think the fur tree will go in our smaller window in the living room. Im getting really excited at the min. OH has 2 weeks winter holiday off mid october so going to get the rest of the decorating and things sorted then. 85 days!!!!:TPPI Claims won £3000:j now free of all credit card debt after 10 years.
