It is a lot bigger than I ever imagined people making them!
Well done.
Not including the candy canes (cause they were ridiculous really but the recipient is a chocolate fiend) I spent around £4.70 on chocolate.Maybe not the most MSE - I mean I bought individual chocolates instead of multipack (am trying to diet so didn't want left over chocolate!!)

Haven't seen any Teddy Baker gift sets for women, but Wilkinsons do miniature gift sets of Paul Smith in both sexes.
They have 2 bottles in each and are £8.0 -

They're so cute! I had no idea The Range had such fun Christmas stuff.
Thanks whoever posted the link!
Thanks for all the answers to when you open your presents too. Maybe we could open half in the morning and half in the evening.
I just like it to be dark when we open them, so all the fairy lights and the tree look Christmassy, and it's never dark at 9am when we get up.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

They have 2 bottles in each and are £8.Ive seen the Ted Baker womens sets before so was hoping Boots would do one this year. Really want Ted Baker as my sister likes Ted Baker Woman (the ones on ebay have that one in it) and then I could get a mens one for BIL and the temporal sonic scredriver for DS as its a new toy and think thats the only way Ill get it a bit cheaper. (on 3 for 2) Obviously tying it all in with a £10 of points when you spend £50 event, if Im spending at Boots I want my moneys worth! :rotfl:

Hi all, and hello again to all newbies
Mrs Drink - That chocolate sledge is amazing!
Regarding gift opening - My kids open their pressies as soon as they get up (usually around 8 or 9am). They open one present at a time and take it in turns, and it usually takes around an hour to an hour and a half or so depending how much they faff around.
We then have bacon barms, and they play with their pressies and I start lunch prep.
My family (brother, his gfriend and nephew) come around 1pm and we do another round of pressie opening, and then eat lunch at around 2pm. The rest of the afternoon is spent watching xmas films and relaxing, whilst I am clearing away the lunch mess.
About 6pm my family head off and around 7pm my hubbys family come round and we have another round of pressie opening, (which was the much hated secret santa last year), and I do a xmas buffet.
Right xmas peeps, I need your help... I wants some really tacky comfy slippers for me. In the past I have had rabbits and reindeers and anything equally as tacky would be great. I haven't seen anything in the shops at all, but...I haven't been to Primani for a while so wondered if anyone had seen anything there.
Re: 'The Range' - I have googled it and it looks great but the nearest one to me is an hour away, and so I will plan a trip there at some point.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
I was in primarni today, they didn't have any Christmas character slippers, but they did have some lovely soft and fluffy boot slippers, they may have even had snowflakes on them...I can't remember
With regards to opening presents, we have 3 stints!
The kids open their stockings on our bed first thing in the morning, when they wake up....last year I was awake at 6:30, ready for them to leap into bed, and nearly had to wake them up at 7:30 as I was so excited!!!
We then open our main presents from us to the kids and mine and hubby's to each other after breakfast, or before depending on the time, but its usually around 10ish, we then go to my mums and open presents from the rest of the family before lunch, which is usually served around 3ish. Last year we also went over to my grandparents as my grandad is very ill with MS and can't leave the house, inbetween 10-12,we all dashed back to my mums and ended up eating about 5ish as the meat wasn't ready!!, going to be a lot more organised this year and put all the dinner on before we leave!
We than have extended family and friends over on Boxing Day for more gifts and eating and drinking, I love Christmas at home especially as we have a large family, normally around 20 for Xmas lunch is a small gathering!...I'm getting very excited now, hubby thinks I'm mad, but humours me!0 -
Also finding it hard to find candy canes, boots have some lovely jelly belly ones which I bet taste great, but they are £4.50 for 12 agghhh! http://www.boots.com/en/Jelly-Belly-Candy-Canes-Watermelon-Tutti-Fruitti-and-Blueberry-170g_1269174. Still I'm very tempted and they would make 6 sleighs ( desperately trying to justify it to myself!)0

Hello All,
I have been catching up and reading all your posts for around two weeks now... Thanks for all your fab ideas.
I LOVE Christmas to and this week I have officially started to plan!
I have two neices 8 and 4 who both have Birthdays just before Xmas so it does get expensive and difficult! Anyway this week through using the forums Ive bought the 4 year old an Innotab 2 (saving around £30) and me and my mum have gone 50/50 on a Nintendo Wii (£90 from Asda, limited edition blue with Sonic and Mario at the LOndon 2012).
I have a cupbaord with around 30 gifts in from the 75% Boots sale last year... i use them for hamper gifts, colleague presents at work and my neices normally raid it towards December for a gift for their teacher.
Ive been to the pound shop today and started to buy crafty bits for their Xmas week Hampers from the elves!!
I bought an ASDA savings card yesterday and put £5 on... will continue adding every week until Christmas and then give it to my Mum. They insist on having us all for Christmas Dinner and Boxing Day and New Years Day... expensive and they never take a penny off any of us so this year i wont take no for an answer.
Cant wait to start browsing the Home Bargains, B&M, Poundland and the Range as they get their Xmas selections in...
Xmas Cake and crafting over the next few weeks...
Looking forward to chatting to you all over the next few months.0 -

3 for 2 so for £9 would make 18...50p a sleigh...still pricey though compared to £1 ones, but nice!!
and 48 boots point...0
