Haven't looked back at today's posts yet but will catch up when the children have gone to bed!! I did a Boots shop yesterday as I had vouchers and needed to get a birthday present as well. Bought 2 presents for DD2 and one for her friend's birthday. Got her Xmas pyjamas as well. Spent the grand total of 65p. I've been tidying up and de-cluttering the girls bedrooms today to make room. It's DD2's birthday in 2 weeks as well. I've just logged on to M&S website to see their 3 for 2 offers and I need to make my list for Argos next week. Going to get DD2 the LeapPag2 so just need to work out the best place to buy it. Also need to sit down with all my recipes to look at what to make - anyone ever had Goose?0

Loving your chocolate sleigh MrsDrink and the reindeer...how cute!
Thanks for all the welcomes and the reassurances. I have anxiety anyway and can get obsessive about certain things- for a few months now its been work and now I think my new obsession is getting everything right for christmas! I just need to remember to breathe and realise how much I have already done....and come on here for my fix of all things christmas!!0 -
Have been updating my Better Christmas app, and thought I would give all new users some tips that I use. :snow_laug
Under each person it says details (as I am sure you all know). At the bottom of details is Notes.
This is a great place to list stocking fillers :xmassmile
I also have a group called Cards, where I list all the special cards I need to buy.
And a list of people I need to write cards to. I don't copy this list every year, I just use the list that is in Archives.
So if its your first year , you will need write this out.:(
Sadly you can not add to archive but you can remove if needed.
But you can add new people to this year and archive in Jan.0 -

We get back from my parents after new year having been away for a week, and never have anything in!
was so distraught by Lewis's gearbox failure (stupid stupid gearbox) that I ate my way through 3 bags ...ooops!0 -

On a brighter note, DD got her advent calendar today from Poundland - a Disney Princess one. Just got the boys and OH to get for now. Tried primarni for the reindeer cushions but only got reindeer fleeces (gorgeous, though) and reindeer hot water bottles.
My inlaws do all sorts of silly things like this, they are MY kids and I let them have the lot when they get up. They are only young once. My inlaws can like it or lump it0 -
:TSo pleased with this that I just have to share it with you all. (But I will remove the photo soon just incase eyes stumble into here!) BIG thanks to whoever wrote about it on here and put the seed in my head
I used 2 100g bars, a yorkie, a wispa, 2 small areo biscuits, 2 2 finger kit kats, 2 single drifter biscuits, a small flake, a teeny chrunchie and a teeny weeny cadbury's caramel. The hardest part was finding chocolate in decreasing size so it stacks nicely. It's not as neat and perfect as the one linked to by the OP - but this may have more 'proper' chocolate on it. The biggest expensive for me was the candy canes - £10 for the pair  but that's cause they are special chocolate flavoured ones lol.
(oh and you can see my Anamalz reindeer as well lol - love them!!)
that looks amazing, love it!!!! love the Anamalz too - am toying with getting some, but would have to use red nail polish on one nose!0 -
Lol see I was considering painting one's nose red... but then if I did that I would then have to decide which reindeer the other one was.. cause he wouldn't be able to be nameless if rudolph was so obvious... and I don't know which is my favourite of all the rest!! (I know I could just easily buy the full set lol but that wouldn't be very MSE!)0

first christmas present bought for my neice, got her a fisheprice laugh and learn dog, was £23, reduced to £14.39 then used 20% code so got it for around £11.50! yey first bargain!!0

mine open stockings first thing, then after breakfast I put the Christmas music channels on tv (though oddly we often end up with 'Friends' instead!!) and we sit round the tree and hand out presents one at a time to try and make it last as long as possible!
First thing I do when I get up and come downstairs is put the tree lights and fairy lights on so its all cosy and Christmassy when everyone else comes down. This year I will light the Christmas candles so we have the lovely Christmassy aromas.
I may do tree presents this year for Christmas night, never thought of that!
I remember when I was about 8 or 9, re-wrapping a book, some chocolate and an orange and hanging them in the pillowcase on my door to try and recreate the lovely rustling heavy stocking on Boxing Day morning!0
