Thought I would just have a look at Woolworths.
Their Christmas stuff make Boots look cheap.

3 - 1kg boxes of Taveners sweets £16 or 3 easy payments of £5.33
Yes you read right £16 or 3 easy payment of £5.33.

The same Tavener sweets you can get in Poundland:j

If your Poundland hasn't got any -

Wilkinsons are doing 2 for £3 on all Taveners Sweets 400g

    That works out £12 for 3.2kg .(8 400g boxes)

( Ps You don't have to buy 8 :rotfl:)
  • i don't suppose anyones search is working properly and they can track down the christmas planners I posted on here a while back??
Stupid me forgot to bookmark them and when I try and search on this thread tells me there are 5 pages of posts with my name on but it'll only display 1 then tell me the search isn't valid.

    thanks.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • wow what a great forum this is.. have only just found it but be certain shall not lose it..i usually as i have this year start my xmas shopping around March time when i start on the non perishable foods and of now have most of it in ready,,a bit here and a bit there and you don't notice it..just the meats and and dairy stuff to get..and the presents which i usually leave to my OH to get around November time.. i work for a local store and as such i can get food/drink and presents at discounted prices usually 10% off..i also collect their saving stamps through the year which usually covers the alcohol again with the discount..so the nearer to xmas it gets i can just sit back with a glass or to and watch everyone else struggle with food and pressie buying..though i do like to venture out in the evening when the xmas shopping hours come in..the lights, smells and crisp evenings just and to the spirit of the season.

Holiday Countdown Checklist 2009, filled in -
this is a 12 week one - who cares its 2009 - (i knew i did a long one last year). so starts beginning of October.

Real Simple.com - you can start this one now.

100 days till christmas - does what it says on the tin. here - around about the 16 September for this to start isn't it? sure someone can confirm (i got confused counting backwards :rotfl:)

achieve-goal - starts beginning of December - pfft who leave it till then. here

huggies.com - officially started in January. but the 2nd step can be started from now. here

personally i think i may open the all and make my own :D

I have no idea what I was looking for but did find this .

If it's wrong let me know I I'll have another look:D
  • Does anyone NOT open their presents first thing Christmas morning?

I fancy trying opening them in the evening (we don't have any kids, so it won't torture anyone toooo much to wait).

I'm not sure whether it would keep the excitement going all day by avoiding that horrible morning anti climax, or just ruin things...

  • LalaGomay.....we always open our presents around 9 oclock in the morning but always save one for when the dinner comes round usually just after dessert...but we always have a Boxing Day opening of tree presents which is not so hectic as Xmas day..we normally have a couple each within a £10 price range.

Hi everyone :) newbie to the thread here :)

I've only just started my Xmas shopping.. I'm just about to go back to work after being off sick from end of October last year :( so I'm trying to do what I can before I go back. Plus I'm going home on November 30 to be bridesmaid at sis's wedding on 1 December so I have to have all family presents bought, wrapped and ready to go by then

So far I have half of my Dad's presents and a couple of presents for Mum but I have three birthdays in October (sis, Mum and nephew) and I have presents for sis and Mum (nephew just gets money) so I'm actually quite proud of myself :D I have no idea where I'll be for Xmas as I expect i'll have to work - I went home last Xmas and Mum spoiled me rotten but I'll be lucky if my feet touch the ground this Xmas I expect :(

We did this last year....but then it is just the two of us. Kept them for when we got home from my sisters. It was nice as we had opened presents from my family when we were with them so its not like we had to wait all day with nothing. Then got in and opened our own.
Want to try and save at least a few of ours this year for later in the day, but since we'll be home all day it may be hard.
