Forgot to add, as not sure if I have posted this already earlier in the thread or not.. Dunhelm Mill have loads of amazing xmas stuff in.

The have lovely cushions, door stops and gorgeous draught excluders. The also have crackers for £9.99 that look like they would cost a lot more than that, and look very expensive and posh.

  • I want some this year too, last year I had reindeer tights, Santa slippers and Rudolph knickers:D

Goodness - you must have been freezing! :rotfl:

Couldn't agree more. Thought I would just have a quick peek at their site. And it was a quick peek. Absolutely Extortionate.

So pleased I saw your post. I thought I was being a tight fisted old moo.

Must admit, as I try to buy all my gift in the sales, I always do find full priced products expensive. But really, they do take the p.
As I limit my budget per person, my gifts would look very poor if I shopped there.

That's exactly the same as me!
There was a flannel for £3 that was made to look like it was an ice cream in a cone? and I though you could make that for less than half the price! So I pinned it and now have an idea for teenage niece next year :rotfl:

why is it that the snowman/santa/reindeer heads taste better than the monkeys/elephants/crocodiles that are on available for the rest of the year???

So funny! Anything with the word Christmas attached makes it taste nicer :D
Everything is always better after a cup of tea

Really sorry about the multiple posts, just remembered something else....

I know quite a few of us are doing Marvel/Avengers gifts this year. I was paying for something in HMV and all along the tills they have got The Avengers colouring/activity book for £2.

I got one to throw into DS's Marvel hamper. It contains 30 stickers and is well worth it for the money, so worth looking out for.

  • BBTHREE-Love the brother shaming hehe. :D You reminded me in Tesco the other day they had an iron man toy reduced to £2, I thought it looked a bargain. It was this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Iron-Man-Arc-Chest-Light/dp/B0035G0MPE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348347913&sr=8-1

    'They only had one cow!'
  • I just typed Christmas into amazon and found some cellophane bags that have snowmen on them and there are other ones like santa, snowflakes and candy canes. £2.03 and £2.05 free delivery. They have christmas tree ones for £1.29 with 99p delivery. Wish I had seen them before I bought 2 lots of plain ones.
So if anybody is making snowman soup or little bags of chocolates they would be ideal.
Sorry cant post a link as I don't know how to do it. But i typed christmas and clicked to search in "kitchen and home"

Thanks for this what a find! Lots of lovely things on there.
  • Thought I would just have a look at Woolworths.
Their Christmas stuff make Boots look cheap.

3 - 1kg boxes of Taveners sweets £16 or 3 easy payments of £5.33
Yes you read right £16 or 3 easy payment of £5.33.

The same Tavener sweets you can get in Poundland:j
  • Easy pay on sweets lol

I am lucky with boots as MIL gets staff discount, they will have double discount days in Oct so as well as 3 for 2 I will get 25% of anything store and 45% if boots own make.
    Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.

finally caught up with this thread again! hehe! but I love reading through everyone's plans and amazing finds!

I bought some cheesy biscuits ready for christmas today..and I've been looking through the superdrug christmas pressies on their website and making a list of what I want to buy from who! I want to buy as many things from M&S and superdrug for BUAV reasons...so I can't wait for m&s to bring out their range too!

Shall take a look through Boots' website now to see what they have..but as some of you have mentioned, I'm pretty sure I won't want to pay most of their prices for things!! :)
