I agree. Aldi often have themed food bits in mexican/indian/italian, bet you could make some lovely foodie hamper with them that would be much less than something similar form Boots or BHS.0

Does anyone else get Xmas pjs every ear? My partner thinks I'm mad lol it's something I've always done from being really young with my parents.
Has anyone seen any kids Xmas pjs anywhere? I'm looking for a pair for my 10 month old also a Santa suit in his age for Xmas day
ever since ds1 was born i have bought the christmas pjs from boots (in the 3 for 2 deal aswell) i give them on the 1st dec so they get a lot of wear out of them in the run upto christmas.
i think i will get them from somewhere else this year though, as last year i found the baby one (ds2 was 7months) to be great but the quality in the older 2's was rubbish, not like theyve been previously.Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

why is it that the snowman/santa/reindeer heads taste better than the monkeys/elephants/crocodiles that are on available for the rest of the year???Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

Hi Xmas Nutters and all newbie xmas nutters
I am only a few days behind but I have just had to catch up on ten pages.
Well I am off my strong painkillers, and back on normal ones where I can drive etc and I am back in work on Monday, so... Operation 'Let's sort xmas' is back on..
Went to a big Poundland today and noticed in with the xmas stuff they have got some scarves. Not the normal wooly type but glittery dressy ones, and I think they are labelled as evening scarves. There was a black, a silver and a purple and I got the purple. Its lovely.
Bought myself a'Christmas with the Kranks' dvdfor 99p from CashConverters, and bought my brother a dvd of The Nolans reunion tour a couple of years ago for £2.50 from CEX. He was a massive closet fan back in the day, and is going to well and truly shamed on Xmas Day when he opens it. Not sure if he's ever admitted to being a Nolans fan to his gfriend.
Cat has been sorted for xmas c/o DH. Hubby nipped into Pets and Home for Cat food and came out with a cat advent calendar (£2) and a Whiskas stocking (£4). I think the shop assistant did a hard sell on him about them selling quickly etc. I would have got different ones from elsewhere, but its saved me a job I suppose, and £6
:rotfl:
I am VERY pleased to announce that having scoured the Boots website and going instore today that there is nothing I want.
There are some lovely things but the only two things of any interest are the Lego Star Wars advent, which I will buy elsewhere, as I won't be saving anything unless bought as a 3 for 2, and the big Soap and Glory set (currently £60), which DH will buy when its the offer of the week and will be £20-25, depending on offer price and codes around.
Boots used to be one of my main gift suppliers but I think because I have done so well in their 75% off sale it seems dear to me too now. Saying all that I still can't wait for the xmas catalogue aka Xmas p@rn!Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
