the idea of stocking up store cupboard for January is brilliant, I'd never thought of that! I did an online shop yesterday and have put away toilet roll, a Fairy Liquid (they are 2 for £2 at the moment), some Belvita for DD for school (half price) and a tin of cat food, in a little cupboard that doesnt get much use - my cats eat dry food with a very small amount of tinned morning and night so about 5 tins lasts a month0

Hopefully there's more info on this thread for you..
Bl0dy Hell. That's a bit heavy , even for me. Makes me glad mine are older. I spend all Dec trying to keep house tidy, not wrapping it up in toilet paper :rotfl:Snugglebunny8 wrote: »the idea of stocking up store cupboard for January is brilliant, I'd never thought of that! I have been doing a Christmas/January Basic Food/Toiletry Cupboard for years now. It's another thing all my friends laugh at.
They still haven't got that it is me, who 'Has the last laugh':rotfl:
EDIT - OMG I managed a multi quote !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Well up to now our are Christmas plans are sorted. Normally we would spend Christmas Eve at home just the two of us, then Christmas day with all my family at my sisters, Boxing day at OH nans with all his family.
This year OH has decided that he wants to spend Christmas Day just the two of us at home, no visiting anybody.
Mentioned this to my sister with the idea of throwing a Christmas eve party at her house. That way the kids get their pinatas and we can all be together (I had already bought some Rudolph party poppers from Hobbycraft-not sure what I would have done if she said no!)
So now it will be Christmas day that's all relaxing for us and I am looking forward to having the Christmas eve hamper for this day insteadWe are also going to have our big dinner late on around teatime(another idea taken from either this thread or somewhere else on this forum

No christmas section yet though boo.
Never heard of this website before, but having good snoop now, thanks!

Up early so in between tackling the house am catching up on things.
I was at a local village fair yesterday and picked up a few things from a charity stall next to me. Gorgeous next dress for dd1 for £1. also got some trousers for mum for same price which she loves. What was nice that two people wanted my details for further events for Christmas. I was going to give up doing them but it really has given me a buzz again.
Can't find any candy canes for my candy sledges - any ideas?
I'm going on top of the wardrobe to sort the things i've been putting away today as girls not around... wish me luck!
I found some candy canes in the Range the other day- red and white, 12 in a pack for 99p, they also had a giant candy cane for £1.0 -

It's a fab idea, soto your friends, bet they are scrabbling about in January!!
Hubby very kindly just popped out to get me some Walkers crisps for when F1 is on (was the only thing OOS on my online shop) and as they were on a really good multi deal he bought several packs of different ones ...I've nicked two multi packs and stashed them away for January!0 -
thanks for the candy cane tip! I usually get them in the supermarket but none in as of yet.0

I've only just discovered this part of the board and thought I'd share something about the Christmas Elf - The Book Depository has got the book and doll "The Elf on the Shelf" on for £15.31 including post and packing.0
