It's a fab idea, soto your friends, bet they are scrabbling about in January!!
Hubby very kindly just popped out to get me some Walkers crisps for when F1 is on (was the only thing OOS on my online shop) and as they were on a really good multi deal he bought several packs of different ones ...I've nicked two multi packs and stashed them away for January!
I'm just eating my birthday cake while I watch! Sadly that can't be kept til Jan, but I'm defo going to start.
We get back from my parents after new year having been away for a week, and never have anything in!0 -
Hi everyone
newbie to the thread here
I've only just started my Xmas shopping.. I'm just about to go back to work after being off sick from end of October last yearso I'm trying to do what I can before I go back. Plus I'm going home on November 30 to be bridesmaid at sis's wedding on 1 December so I have to have all family presents bought, wrapped and ready to go by then
Welcome Mrs_Ryan.
Congratulations on beating the big C :j:j:j:j
My one tip is LISTS,LISTS,LISTS. I couldn't cope without them.
If you have a iphone get Better Christmas. It will save on paper.0 -
Sorry if this has been posted already.
Home Bargains are selling bulk packs of selection boxes for anyone needing a few.

Also - a while ago I remember someone saying they were doing a poker themed gift.
Chocolate Buttons are selling chocolate poker chips (like chocolate coins). Obviously there is postage to pay, but if you were buying other things it might work out?

Does anyone NOT open their presents first thing Christmas morning?
Mine have their stockings first thing then have to wait until after dinner for their main presents. I hate this as I always used to rip mine open around 6 in the morning or when I woke up. But we go to the In Laws and this is how they do it
On a brighter note, DD got her advent calendar today from Poundland - a Disney Princess one. Just got the boys and OH to get for now. Tried primarni for the reindeer cushions but only got reindeer fleeces (gorgeous, though) and reindeer hot water bottles. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

littlemschatabox-Halfcost is great for finding different gifts, I bought my brother an inflatable ego last year.
Keep an eye out for the christmas section which should appear soon, lots of lovely things! The site is very slow though, you have to stick with it!
The poundshops usually have candy canes and tesco had giant ones for £1 each last year, could be cool if anyone was doing a giant version of the candy sleigh with boxes of chocs etc?
Helloooo all newbies, love how busy this thread is now.I think Ill do a January storecupboard, what a good idea.

So pleased with this that I just have to share it with you all. (But I will remove the photo soon just incase eyes stumble into here!) BIG thanks to whoever wrote about it on here and put the seed in my head
I used 2 100g bars, a yorkie, a wispa, 2 small areo biscuits, 2 2 finger kit kats, 2 single drifter biscuits, a small flake, a teeny chrunchie and a teeny weeny cadbury's caramel. The hardest part was finding chocolate in decreasing size so it stacks nicely. It's not as neat and perfect as the one linked to by the OP - but this may have more 'proper' chocolate on it. The biggest expensive for me was the candy canes - £10 for the pair  but that's cause they are special chocolate flavoured ones lol.
**picture removed but if you want to see it pm me and I'll forward you the link**
(oh and you can see my Anamalz reindeer as well lol - love them!!)0 -

Thank you, that was me. I don't think it would be a problem finding other things to buy tbh! :rotfl:
I'm not sure who mentioned candy canes being hard to find, but I noticed they have them on that site too.
I have been lurking rather than posting for the last few pages so I just wanted to say hello to all newcomers:D and waves to everyone else whom I now consider to be old friend (or is that partner in festive crime) :rotfl::T
I have a long list of stuff I want to get when we have some money (hopefully soon) but DH just rolls his eyes if I mention it atm. It's making me feel like I'm getting behind!* Ebay- 1 Bag a Day *0 -
