With regards to the brandy butter (i love it too, i am the only one)
Why not make some biscuits/mince pies and put a little butter in pots like you can find on ebay (search mini pots!)
and make up mini baskets for friends gifts? That way your hubby get the butter and you haven't wasted any!

Hello everyone. Been reading through some of this thread, will read it properly later when kids are in bed. I love Christmas. We have two children and buy for 28 other people (yes that's right, 28! large family).
I sat last night and went through boots with a fine tooth comb. Will begin ordering from them in the next few weeks. Very happy with my list.
Also have wrote the one out for our children. Am hoping to buy the majority of it when the argos 3 for 2 sale starts next week. If I can get most of it there, we'd have saved nearly £300. Very happy with that.
Am looking forward to reading this thread with interest.
I always am on a mission come this time of the year so it's great seeing there are other too  My H just rolls his eyes so maybe I could nag you lot instead of him.Faced up to my debt Jan 2012.0 -

Ive been after this the last few yearsit's so traditional and has corols as well, friend had it on in her car a few years ago on way to Christmas party and was wonderful, great price too
..and if you click on the more buying choices tab at the side, it's even cheaper and is only £3.42 for a brand new one. Bargain! Thanks for that.
( back to lurking )I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

i got some fleecy disney pj's for me in asda today - £12.
couldn't find any nice kids ones for under 8yr old in primark.
also a good buy asda had 9 fireman sam puzzles (ranging from about 20 bits to 50 bits) reduced from £13 to £8. they had to manualy override it so don't know if nationwide.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Does anyone else get Xmas pjs every ear? My partner thinks I'm mad lol it's something I've always done from being really young with my parents.
Has anyone seen any kids Xmas pjs anywhere? I'm looking for a pair for my 10 month old also a Santa suit in his age for Xmas day
We always had a new pair of pjs and a new dressing gown from C&A for Christmas when I was a kid. Then my Nan would take the old ones so we always had some at her caravan. We must have looked a right state all summer, squeezed into them. By the time they packed up the van in the October they were nearly 2 sizes too small. :rotfl:0 -

Thanks I'll have a look in Asda. I've bought fleecy pajamas from Matalan in the past but they faded very quickly.0 -

How lame is this lol but for me its cadbury festive friends. I buy 2 boxes of them every year and promise myself they will last the whole of December and i'm lucky if they last 4 days :rotfl:Money_maker wrote: »We have a tin circa 1970's/1980's.
1/3 of the size now then! I wonder what the difference in price works out as!
Am I the only one who took a look at the boots 3 for 2 and thought I could make a lot of that stuff cheaper in a hamper or buy it cheaper elsewhere :S
There are a few things like the soap and glory gift sets that are worth it but some of it to me seems quite shocking
p.s I couldn't find the same offer on the kids apron and hat set for the baking hamper so went on a hunt and found this

What are those?13 projects in 2013 0/130 -
Went into Savers for something today and noticed they were starting to fill the shelves with toiletries gift sets.
This is when I start to panic that I'm going to see something I like for someone I have already bought for. Mostly I only go to the shops at weekends when OH is off so he can take me in car due to me not being able to do a lot of walking or carrying heavy bags. Otherwise its only if I have time to kill before or after I go to physio appointments so should be ok.13 projects in 2013 0/130 -
