Ah yes I remember the struggle last year now! Thanks.
Morrisons today had a small selection of wrapping paper out, all of it cheaper than the price printed on the item. They had big price tickets underneath, I bought 2 rolls both that said £1.80 on for 88p each, my friend bought the value one (still nice) for 28p.
ETA- They also had the extra long rolls for 48pGood enough club member number 140 -
I just typed Christmas into amazon and found some cellophane bags that have snowmen on them and there are other ones like santa, snowflakes and candy canes. £2.03 and £2.05 free delivery. They have christmas tree ones for £1.29 with 99p delivery. Wish I had seen them before I bought 2 lots of plain ones.
So if anybody is making snowman soup or little bags of chocolates they would be ideal.
Sorry cant post a link as I don't know how to do it. But i typed christmas and clicked to search in "kitchen and home"13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

This is when I start to panic that I'm going to see something I like for someone I have already bought for. Mostly I only go to the shops at weekends when OH is off so he can take me in car due to me not being able to do a lot of walking or carrying heavy bags. Otherwise its only if I have time to kill before or after I go to physio appointments so should be ok.
I also quite often find something for someone once I have brought something LOL so I have a box for Birthdays/Christmas 2013 and put it in that and tick it off my list :rotfl:Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -

Make a note of it, then get half price in Jan Sale and put it away for next year. This is how I most of my Christmas shopping :j:j0 -
welshone27-Welcome!
I have 29 to buy for plus my DS and OH so you are not alone, I definitely need lists lol!
chirpychick-I think the Boots sets are very expensive too, I very rarely buy anything from there. If I do its 75% off! Ive got my eye on the dalek bath jellies (£3 each, 3 for 2) which are tiny and extortionate but nowhere else sells them lol. Would be great in DS' stocking.
I have been doing Halloweeny crafts with DS today, I was actually going to get some decorations this year (dont usually) but then remembered we are away for halloween so no point lol! But we decorated a Halloween bag and made two scary faces out of foam that were then stuck to the bag! Will be doing plaster of paris halloween shapes tomorrow! All bought from Family Bargains today which had both halloween and christmas stuff out!
I was really naughty yesterday *tut* and ordered The Fast and Furious blu ray boxset for OH as hes wanted it for ages and it went down to £15 on amazon which is the cheapest ive ever seen it! (was £25 at christmas last year!) Not sure if it will be for his birthday (november) or xmas though. I also got the One Direction album for £4.97 from Asda yesterday for DS' stocking, one of my most prominent christmas memories is getting The Spice Girls album on cassette in my stocking so thought Id recreate that memory lol!
I was just telling my DS about Nativity 2, I didnt think he'd remember the 1st film but upon saying 'Do you remember that film about the school whos nativity was going to be really bad but their teacher said someone from hollywood was coming'... he launched into the whole chorus of sparkle and shine! :rotfl:Thats my boy! He is v.excited, more so as it has David Tennant in it but the trailer isnt online anymore cos Showcase cinemas have taken it down, meanies!
On the pyjama front I struggle nowadays to find christmas pyjamas for DS, hes only 7 but is in 9-10/10-11 clothes as he's so tall. Last year I think i just got him character pyjamas but the year before i managed to get him christmas pjs (not fleecy) from primark and i remember they had lounge pants in sizes 9-10. They were such bad quality though but ok for just over christmas. I might end up making DIY ones with PJ bottoms and a transfer on a plain tshirt! (lots of transfers cheap on ebay) He cant wear fleecy ones anyway as he overheats really easily so whats the betting if I find some they'll be fleecy!I want some this year too, last year I had reindeer tights, Santa slippers and Rudolph knickers. So need pyjamas this year.

Couldn't agree more. Thought I would just have a quick peek at their site. And it was a quick peek. Absolutely Extortionate.
So pleased I saw your post. I thought I was being a tight fisted old moo.
Must admit, as I try to buy all my gift in the sales, I always do find full priced products expensive. But really, they do take the p.
As I limit my budget per person, my gifts would look very poor if I shopped there.0
