so I want to be more organised this year and dedicate a day to actually go!
I can't say what these are like but a quick google threw up Waddesdon Manor - check the calendar for November and December. Don't know how close that is for you? Also depends on which end of the county you are and how far you would want to travel?
Also found this one?
Also welcome to all the new people in this thread - had to go back about 5 pages to catch up about 1 day's worth of posts!0 -
Snugglebunny Yes a cupcake shop would be fab :T
Im off to town shortly, sportsdirect to get DD1 some trainers for school so I will be spying to see if any shops have xmas stock. I moved house in Feb and must have thrown out all my wrapping paper (I know I know) so I need some more asap to wrap as I buy because it ends up as too much of a big job and it will help with nosy parkers

Just started my first proper bit of Christmas organisation! yay!
I've got my friends a little chocolate face mask and have popped it into a resealable bag (just one of those ones you can pick up in 99p store for card crafting!) along with a sachet of galaxy hot chocolate...they look fab!
Think I shall pop in either a little candy cane or something yummy and edible nearer the time as I have just enough space to pop something extra in! ..I know they probably won't give me gifts back (as we just have agreed not to over the last few years) but I really wanted to make a little something up for them and this has cost me next to nothing!
hope you dont mind but i have nicked your idea for the kids teachers lol
i have one male teacher to buy for any ideas?13 in 2013 challenge 9/130 -

Huge congrats to Carlamarie!!! awww a new baby!!!
I live 20mins from Newcastle city centre so If you need to know anything give me a shout.
Our markets are on:
Durham (its very traditional and it actually in the Cloisters of Durham Cathederal) its very Chrismassy lol -30th November - 2nd Dec....you can get the train direct from Newcastle Central Station if you aren't travelling by car, takes about 20mins
Newcastle Christmas Market 5-9th December, it gets bigger and better every year and has a great mix of continental and local produce.
You should go and see Fenwicks Christmas Window which is normally on from the end of October and also pop in to the Christmas shop inside,,,,decorations are gorgeous!
Also worth visiting the Metrocentre, biggest shopping centre in Europe I think. You can get a 10min shuttle service from Newcastle...and there is Eldon Square which is where Fenwicks is.

Wow that's great advice thank you! May have to stretch the night into a weekend lol!
I'll show hubby and see when he wants to book for.
Thanks again

Jensen did a very good job
First thing I thought when I read about the troublesome family, was that there was/is a Home Info Pack that sellers have to give buyers, although I know it's being phased out? I think they have to disclose disputes or problems with neighbours, although unsure of teh legals, so that would tell me they dont have issues Im guessing? and it sounds as though the people you met yesterday were friendly so that's good
There is a family on our road who only live a few doors from us, who several lovely people have had issues with, but the girl and the mum are always so lovely and friendly and the dad spends ages chatting with my hubby and seems very nice, so it sometimes works out that because one person doesnt get along with them, others might? and also opposite us there are two families who loathe each other but then get on with everyone else LOL! so if I was moving in and listened to one of the ones who had issues Id be worried too, but perhaps others may have a different view or no problems, so I really hope that means it will all be fine for you - we've been here 17 years and there are people we just never see either, so you may never come across them
Thank you again! We were at the house yesterday cleaning up and tidying the garden and it already started to feel a bit more like home. It was really quiet outside as well which is a good sign!
Bad news for Lewis yesterday!I felt bad for all of them (even Alonso who was minding his own business!). Grosjean was silly, but i'm sure he never would have wanted to cause an accident like that!

Hello everyone, I can't really say to the newbies as I am one myself lol
Chikkywiggle Thank You so much for posting the Organised Christmas linkI had a fun couple of hours printing off and writing in my thoughts for gifts etc. It's nice to jot them down, because often I think of something and then it goes right out of my head til its too late.

Hi all
I'm another newbie, ive been lurking and subsribing for the last couple of weeks, and thought it was time to say hello!
Ive just got back from Matalan and they had half a shelf with a few boxes of baubles, and also my local sainsburys have a couple of their 'seasonal' isles all clear so hoping they are getting ready to start stocking christmas stuff! wohoo!
my hubby also thinks i'm mad, but hey you need to be organised with kids!
We do the elf each year and 2 years ago I brought 2 lovely girl and boy elves from amazon.com, they cost a small fortune to ship, but thought they were worth the investment...sooyy I cant post a link.
Also on the subject of amazon.com, they have the rudolph Monoploy in stock (must be an old version) and also avaiable to preorder (new edition) one of they lets you ship to the UK, but it costs £35 including postage, i'm not sure what you all managed to pre-order your for. I'm hoping my lovely friend who lives in the US will send me one here if i reimburse her for the postage (its not so high if you can do it this way) might be worth a try if you friends or rellies who live over there.
My DD (6yrs) informed me this morning that she would like a Moshi themes ipod touch!! I did explain that Santa couldnt stretch to that...I blame all the kids magazines with competitions in to win things like this.
ds(4yrs) said he wants Tree Fu stuff, but there is nothing avaiable, only 1 dvd to preorder...so if any one sees anything would you mind letting me know, same goes for any moshi related stuff, sainsburys had no moshi stationery left when i went in today
Any way enough of me waffeling on, not sure how often I will be posting, but will be constantly lurking!0
