Congratulations carlamarie!
I would love another one, maybe I should put that on my Christmas list too. I think I'd like another girl to get a bit of extra wear out of all the clothing in the attic.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
I'm also a notebook fan...however I'm not very organised at having one specific one for christmas pressies!! I usually just write things in the nearest one then get home at the end of the day and wonder which one I wrote it in! ...maybe it's time I sorted out a proper christmas one and had it all in one place!0

i havent been on for a couple of days and its taken me AGES to catch up!
the hubby has just asked me what i need off him for the kids christmas presents (money) and i said i dont know yet, he said i was 'slacking' as i usually have a list by now and so far i only have the kids a couple of things!
so i got out my notebook and flaunted it in his face, he soon shut up when he realised ds1 is about halfway done, dd is about a quater and ds2 is 90% finished HA!
slacking?! NEVER!!!!
although i do really need to do a list/amazon wish list for the rest of it!
i have decided against the lego/playmobil etc calendars. a friend has given me a great idea to do a book advent.
im basically going to get 24 christmas books which we can read before bed.
i will then be able to put them away and use them again next year :T
and found out some HUGE news, were expecting baby number 4 :T:T:T im not due until march, but it does mean in the january sales i can pick up 'baby's 1st christmas christmas' things :rotfl:
*points at your OH and snorts*slacking??! how dare he! :rotfl:
fantastic news on baby 4! many congrats, so pleased for you!!!! :T0 -

Loving reading this thread, youve given me inspiration to get going!
We have a very small family and therefore I only have to buy for my 2 daughters, aged 5 and 3 by christmas time! Unfortunatley its also dd1's birthday 9 days before chrimbo so double buying there!
I always get up early to get to the sainsburys half price toy sale and keep my eye out on amazon every year and other internet places for good deals! dd1 has asked for a cabbage patch kid, £30 quid! Argh!
We always go to Devon for yuletide as my Mum and Grandparents live there but for the first time in a lot of years OH wont be coming this year as we work in the theatre industry and its really his turn to do some shifts on xmas eve and boxing day so will be carting 2 kids, luggage and a mountain of presents 200 miles on my tod this year!
Anyway, Im waffling! Great to be here!

welcome! that sounds like a treck! but bet Devon is gorgeous witha blanket of frost0 -

welcome! how gorgeous - first Christmas is so magical! hope we can all help make it even more special with lots of Christmas excitement from now til then :rotfl:
Baby 1st Christmas bauble on Disney Store is just lovely this year!0 -
Welcome to the newbies! Hope you love reading this thread as much as I do!
I always read on my phone so it's a bit tricky to reply and to thank people, so apologies if I've ever left anybody out, it's certainly not my intention!
Congratulations carlamarie on baby number 4! I'd love a 4th, wonder if I could put that on my Xmas list lol.
My sil had a wee casino win this weekend so started her Xmas shopping, she has bought lots for my nephew so now I'm stumped as to what to get him, any ideas greatly received! He will be 2 a few days after Christmas and is the only little man in my life, love him to pieces! Budget £50-£75.
I'm also stuck for the girls and this is the first year ever I haven't decided what to get them yet! The 10 year old is by far the hardest as she doesn't want anything, argh!
My lovely hubby had suggested we go to Newcastle at the end of Nov/beginning of Dec to have a day Xmas shopping and a night out the 2 of us. Ive never been and have always wanted to go away somewhere for present shopping so it was a lovely surprise :-)
I'm also needing ideas for our Xmas party this year. We're holding it in a large church hall and should be around 30 kids so need to think of games and party bags to give out, might actually start another thread for ideas for this though.

Huge congrats to Carlamarie!!! awww a new baby!!!
I live 20mins from Newcastle city centre so If you need to know anything give me a shout.
Our markets are on:
Durham (its very traditional and it actually in the Cloisters of Durham Cathederal) its very Chrismassy lol -30th November - 2nd Dec....you can get the train direct from Newcastle Central Station if you aren't travelling by car, takes about 20mins
Newcastle Christmas Market 5-9th December, it gets bigger and better every year and has a great mix of continental and local produce.
You should go and see Fenwicks Christmas Window which is normally on from the end of October and also pop in to the Christmas shop inside,,,,decorations are gorgeous!
Also worth visiting the Metrocentre, biggest shopping centre in Europe I think. You can get a 10min shuttle service from Newcastle...and there is Eldon Square which is where Fenwicks is.
xPPI Claims won £3000:j now free of all credit card debt after 10 years.

Congratulations carlamarie :j
I've been following this thread for a few weeks now but only posted a couple of times. I have 4 children and as you know its the holidays so theres always someone who wants/needs something so just havent had the time to write anything longer than a sentence!
Anyway Im Jen, 4 kids, I have 2 DS (14 and 3) and 2 DD (10 and 11) One goes back to school on Tuesday and the other 3 on Weds so for me thats when the planning/buying can really start. They have asked for tablet pc's this year and Ive found a good deal on ebay, one is already bought so 2 more of those as Blake (youngest DS) has got the leapfrog tablet from the argos sale a few months ago :T Have also got a few stocking bits, toy story 'post its', crayons etc...
Im Lucky to have a good range of shops, (I was shocked to read some of you dont have home bargains or poundstretcher  I thought they were a basic human right) 2 poundlands, 2 poundworlds, wilkos, 2 home bargains (1 quite big) B&M, poundstretcher, 2 Argos and at least 2 of every supermarket - apart from waitrose which I cant afford anyway. Last year I found 'The Range' in Halifax, its only about 20 mins or so in the car so I will be making a trip there in the near future.
Sorry for waffling onI didnt want to start getting involved without introducing myself. (Oooh Im also doing the magic elf thing for the first time this year too)
am :rotfl::T at the basic human rights!!! couldnt agree more! although I also would like to add that Cupcake Shops should join that list, there should be one in every town!
have 1 going back tomorrow and 1 Wednesday, bad planning my eldest has her friends coming round today (house is mess, have to run round tidying like loon this morning) whereas should have planned day out today - I hate it when they go back!0 -
Congratulations Carlamarie!!! Another March baby :j Do you have a due date yet? My little Jellybean is due on the 10th of March. This will be the first baby in my family in 6 years NOT to be born in September/October....also the last 8 babies born in the family were girls so no pressure on me but I think EVERYONE is hoping for a boy this time :rotfl:0

Oh my we've moved on so quick! Just had to have a major catch up!
Hello to all the new people, I don't feel like the only newbie now phew
I'm off into town today to post a silly amount of parcels after, I've managed to sell lots of bits on eBay! Have made about 70£ which I think I might leave in my PayPal as 'extra' money for when I need it. Pleased with the amount cos that'll be quiet afew bits sorted!
I'm going to have a nose about in pound shops/wilkos etc so I will post later to let you know if they have anything out yet!
Also does anyone know of any Christmas markets in the bucks area? I found one in Oxford last year, but left it too late to goso I want to be more organised this year and dedicate a day to actually go!
I'm back in work tomorrow with the lovely new reception kids, I can't wait to start doing Xmas activities with them! While to wait for that though!!0 -
