When I was in Poundland today, they were unpacking boxes and putting out all the Halloween stuff. Yay!
Definitely my first sighting of anything seasonal and festive.

But mad for all you guys who do the elf thing with the kids!! The children can also go onto a website to register the elf and play games etc Sounds quite good! Can't post links due to being on phone but It's called the elf on the shelf!!

Hi, can i please join in with this?
I have 2 children to buy for, as well as my mum, 2 sisters, niece and a BIL.

I have already bought my niece her gift (necklace and earring, reduced from £80 down to £17 in argos clearence :) )

My 12 yr old wants either an iPod or Xbox (but understands it will be 2ndhand).

My 8 yr old wants everything ever invented!! He definitely wants a wii game called Mario Party 9.

My BIL loves James Martin cookery books.

So i am on a hunt for these things as cheap as possible. I am hunting on ebay for the iPod or Xbox, and will be keeping an eye out for stocking stuff, and everything cheap!

welcome! sounds like you are well organised! if I see any of those items for a good deal when I'm on my searches, will let you know :)

Ha ha, I am a McLaren, Hamilton and Button fan (Hamilton is my favourite) and unfortunately I really don't like Ferrari and especially don't like Alonso! Even though I have to admit through very gritted teeth that he is a good driver...

I would definitely recommend Spa, it is a really lovely circuit amongst all of the trees. It was very friendly and good natured and there were lots of children there. We camped with Camping F1 and it was a good set up, you got breakfast and had the option of buying a token for an evening meal which was a good spread. We also got coach travel to and from the circuit with them. You're right we experienced all kinds of weather in Spa (at one point it was raining and thundering but sunny at the same time!) but it was still a great weekend despite this.:T

On a Christmas note I bought the 'Baby's 1st Christmas' sack from Mothercare to put our new nephew's presents in. :)

thanks for the Spa tips! will look into that for next year :)

am not really a big fan of Alonso, especially after what happened at McLaren, hubby is italian so Ferrari in his blood! but he does love watching Lewis race - I do agree Fernando is a great driver but similarly through slightly gritted teeth! am so relieved it hasn't turned into The Vettel Show again this year, as was becoming in danger of turning back into the Schumacher Whitewash!!

was a big Damon Hill fan (hence the Schumacher comment!) so am really pleased to see him commentating of Sky Sports F1

my DS loves the F1 year reviews and watches them all the time (then drives you mad asking who you think came 4th in some random race in 1998!) the DVD is always on his Christmas list!

Thanks to the OP who mentioned the Marvel boxed set on pre-order...will be a brill pressie for my 2 boys at Xmas. While I was on I've also pre-ordered the Hunger Games DVD for DD...to go with the Hunger Games trilogy of books I've already bought and squirrelled away! Still haven't really got much else, but I'm waiting for the new Lego Advent calendar to appear in the shops. They've had one the past couple of years and really seem to love it.

If anyone sees any cool pirate themed things
please let me know as my youngest is pirate daft right now. Thanks.

Poundworld have a pirates play set in at the moment - it's a sword and mask I think
    Stopped smoking 20th October 2012 :D

This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!

Have just reserved an O'Neil belt in Argos for DS1- spotted on Grabbit board. Very pleased as it's just what he's been after. One more small pressie ticked off. :D

Thanks snugglebunny8, just got to work out what to get my mum, sisters and BIL.
Every year my mum asks for the same thing- M&S vouchers- and my younger sister asks for amazon vouchers.
Probably be the same this year too!
Seems boring to get them the same every year, but they say they like it as i am the only person who gets them vouchers, and they always know they'll get them.

If you look through the clearance section on argos, they are also doing O'Neil hats and flip flops for boys/men :)

    Hope that helps!
