    Hi All

Firstly, can I extend a warm welcome to all new christmas nutters on this thread.

Secondly, in a moment of inspiration/insanity I decided to make another xmas basket, this time for my friends daughter aged 8.

I am going with a Moshi Monsters theme as she is obsessed, and I have picked up a few bits already today.

    I have bought :-

A Moshi Monsters teddy - Free using Tesco Clubcard vouchers)
2 x Moshi Monster sweets (like tictacs) - 19p each
    2 x Moshi Monster Jelly sweets - 39p each
Moshi Monster stick on Tattoos - £1

I don't really want to buy the little figures or trading cards as I know she has lots of those.

Tried WH Smith as they seem to sell a lot of this but everything was really overpriced.

I fancy getting some stationary/colouring stuff and tried Wilkies who had some get pen sets, but in an MSE moment I have realised that stationary most shops will be reduced early Sept when the kids are back at school.

So.... Any other suggestions? All ideas welcomed.... Xx

Saw loads of Moshi Monsters stationery in Tesco today.

I may have bought a pencil case for myself...

Was just browsing through this thread for the 1st time thinking how I really need to get organised for Christmas (twins due 18th Nov) and your post brought tears to my eyes. Twice! So very sweet

Im getting nervous about not being prepared for Christmas as Im the present buyer (DH is useless!), and although family and friends say I will have enough on my plate, I always go overboard and buy and make lots and lots (ok, too many!) presents normally

Hiya Cake4brains (what a fabulous name! - sounds just like me!) If I were you, I'd get a load of picture frames and give everyone a fabulous pic of your wonderful new arrivals and let them spoil you and your little ones. Something else to consider is joining jacquielawson.com for a small annual fee you can send as many animated cards as you like all year (brill for Christmas cards) - there is also a new card for birth announcements which allows you to include up to 3 uploaded photos in the card: http://www.jacquielawson.com/cards_baby.asp

Hoping that this link works - a card for everyone! :santa2:

Yes mine did too. I was looking for football based bits and noticed the Moshi Monsters stuff.

Thanks for the Moshi suggestions, I appreciate it.

There isn't a poundland near my work (only a Poundworld which is rubbish) so will head to Poundland on Sat Morning.

I am keen to buy the bits I need and then all I have to worry about is florists wrap and a basket/box nearer the time.

Rosalie-Lavender if I spot any football related bargains I wll post them on here.

    Xx

  • This may be of interest to some of you. Ordered a pair of Scooby jim jams for my nephew's birthday, only £3 on ebay, but supplier sent flier for their site, character.com. Had a look and there are some nice bargains, will have a proper look tonight as I think I may be doing some more shopping! There is also 10% discount for new customers, code is new10, enter when checking out.
