MIL does but almost everyone else just uses aluminium foil to wrap gifts. It takes any shape you want and obviously clings to itself so wraping the presents takes like 5 mins.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: just shared this with my daughter who has just finished wrapping presents..everything she bought was an awkward shape...received a glare in response, then a "I'm so doing that next year!!"
Nanamia wonderful news about your SiL!! Best Christmas present ever!
and better late than never but a HUGE Congratulations re: baby Franklin. It's so exciting having a new baby in the house for Christmas!Love and cuddle him lots and get tons of pics :T
Well, finished work yesterday...had a brill Christmas Party,; I work in a community centre and it was a lovely atmosphere with all the volunteers and kids taking part...even Santa paid a visit (and as my DGS wasn't able to attend) I had to sit on his knee instead!!:rotfl:
Absolutely shattered this morning but had a nice lie in before going food shopping. Thank heavens I went today...didn't finish it until 4.30pm and then the hoards were arriving as they all finished work. Heaven only knows what it will be like tomorrow!! All I've got to get now is the fresh veg/ fruit and will take a leisurely stroll to town on Xmas Eve for that.
So, I'm done. Presents all bought, food in...just a few bits to wrap; I'm amazed. I am never this organised and it's all down to you lovely lot inspiring me all year round and keeping me motivated:T
Time to relax and enjoy Christmas!!
oops nearly forgot....

Reformed shopaholic - sorry to hear what has happened! The only advice I can give is listen to your gut & heart but don't let anybody make you feel bad because you have been hurt by these actions!! Hope you have a lovely christmas!!
Arregggghhhhh I feel like I still have so much to do!! I need to put a few CDs onto my cus MP3 player for my gran and get it back to her on Sunday!! I am also dog sitting most of tomorrow!! I need to wash bedroom window and Finnish washing still have a few pressies to wrap! Shopping is coming in Sunday and I need to pop to pets at home for animal food etc also need to pick up a little something for my dad! I'm also babysitting Sunday!! Monday ill be helping my mum most of the day then at family party in evening!! The time has suddenly disappeared!! And to top it off my bf has toothache!!
The bf having toothache is not good!! He suffers a lot with his teeth and has absess quite often but due to his aspergise and ADHD he refuses to go to the dentist and gets antibiotic off his doc but the doc is now closed argh!! I just hope it goes soon as I can't cope with another sleepless night!! (When he has toothache he is like a little kid and up all night etc so I end up being up all night as he dosnt like being the only one up in the house when it's dark he's 23)!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely Xmas and new year If I don't get on agen before

So does my cousin. Don't have your bd on my list.:)
Just had a mad moment, went to use downstairs loo, and ended up cleaning it. Also hoovered it and hall, then steam cleaned them. One less thing to do tomorrow.:D0 -
My uncle's bday is also NY day. It seems surprisingly common!0

Mine is 17th May :j
How is everyone spending their last 3 days then? Mine is looking like this:
SAT: Kids going out for lunch with grandparents, I will be hunting in the loft for one missing gift (DDs Barbie) I'm having a feeling I may have wrapped it but not ticked it off my list. Christmas party in the evening then we are going to have a drive round looking at people's' light displays.
SUN: Going to see rise of the guardian's after lunch, round to my mum's in the evening for her birthday.
MON: My favourite day of the festive period, :T will do loads of things with the kids and get everything ready.
I only have a hamper and my mum's birthday present to wrap (just collected it from the framer today) I will be glad to finish the last of it.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Awww...I've just let our little foster children watch their www.portablenorthpole.com personalised video messages from Santa! The 6 year old was unimpressed (but she's a very "cool" and cynical child - a mini gangsta in a Hello Kitty outfit
). However the 4 year old was so delighted she had tears in her eyes
.
Finally feel Christmassy now....off to panic-buy brussell sprouts!0 -
ReformedShopaholic- So sorry, I truly hope that you get past this and manage to at least have a good Christmas eve with your family.Ruth_honey wrote: »Really should be tidying the house & other Christmas prep things, but really cannot be bothered with it. It's just stressing me out, so I've made myself a hot chocolate (some Tia Maria MAY have found its way into the mug), put on my snowmen slipper socks & Santa hat (ok, I have been wearing this all day) and I'm gonna lie on the sofa and read one of the festive books I got out from the library earlier. Might even put a Xmas film on in the background. And if I fall asleep...well, it doesn't matter. Hopefully the kitten will come and have a snooze with me too. That sounds blissful!- Did you have a nap?
Set out with DH and 2 younger DS's last night to pick up a couple of bits from Argos and then a bit of SM (just realised how appropriate these initials are :rotfl:) shopping. We got as far as Argos then chickened out and went for a belated birthday meal instead- which was, even though just basic pub food, was really lovely. Dh then kindly offered to go back out later and get what was on my shopping list.:T I haven't checked what he got yet (was in bed when he got back) but hopefully it has some resemblance to what I wanted
I am about to start cooking Lorraine Pascals cranberry and nut pie now, as DH doesn't eat meat, so we always have a big veggie main course as well as a bird.
Hopefully going to see a farm that has a Christmas shop in their barn later, it looks lovely on the adverts so I hope it's worth the drive or I will get lynched after the Christmas market fiasco!
Risky- foil wrapping? Had never thought of that, sounds like a plan for next year.
