  • To be honest I'm past ranting, I'm mostly a pathetic puddle lately(which I hate myself for).

Don't be so hard on yourself, you've done nothing wrong and your reaction is perfectly normal. Like Sungglebunny says, you can only go on your gut instinct. But whatever happens you have every right to be cross and sad right now.

Have you got any nights out coming up? I'm sure they don't say it in any of the self-help books but I always find getting myself glammed up, sipping (OK, necking) some vodka and going for a boogie helps me.
  • Not really all my friends live where my family live (we moved about 12 miles away to where his family is and where he works) and the only way to get home for me or them would be a taxi costing over £15, although I am looking forward to going to spend Christmas eve with my family, there will be glamming up, drinks and a meal there(only 3 more days for that). Work Christmas do isn't until January and I'm not really close with anybody there to go out with them before that. Although I did get very glammed up for Rise of the guardians the other night! Vue didn't know what had hit it :)

Because in my bleakest, beating-myself-up-moments, something (or someone) has always come good for me, I would gladly shout you £30 for taxi if you have Paypal and it meant a night out with your mates. I'm being deadly serious, I don't know the ins and outs of your life obviously and certainly don't want to be patronising but (this being a money saving site) if money IS the barrier to you going out, don't let it be on this occasion.

If you don't fancy the night out then get on Youtube and listen to Pink's Blow Me (One Last Kiss). Even if you're not a Pink fan, it will kick away the cobwebs, I promise. I've just put it on and danced around my kitchen to it in your honour.

Thanks that really sweet of you but I wouldn't feel right. I will do the YouTube though as I am a big pink fan. xx

What a wonderful, generous thing to offer. :A
This is what Christmas-and friendship-means to me. Such a lovely thing to say.

Reformed shopaholic-men can be blooming useless sometimes. And to find out so close to Christmas... Sending you hugs & hope things work out.

Reformed shopaholic, just wanted to send you a hug.

I had a sort of similar thing in the summer - it wasn't quite the same situation and didn't go very far at all but I found some texts on OH's phone that shouldn't have happened and made me very upset.

It is hard to get over it even if you know it was a silly thing and doesn't mean he will cheat (as I absolutely knew). It still crosses my mind sometimes and makes me feel horrible!

I hope you can feel better and still have a nice Christmas. Know we are all thinking of you and here for you xxx

My thoughts and prayers are with you! :)
  • Not had time to get up to date and will be off line until new year as I will be away.

Just want to wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas, hope everyone really enjoys what you have done for them, bought for them (and you can smugly know how much less it cost :)), kids enjoy what Santa has left, and most importantly, those of you going through good new times, or not so great, can relax and enjoy some quality me time.

    Here's to a wonderful 2013.
A smile costs little but creates much :)
