I'm sorry everyone this probably isn't the place to post all that - I just wanted others in the same position to know I understand how they feel and how hard it can be at this time of year!
I'm still very Christmassy and have lots of Christmas spirit! :xmassmile0 -

Still no baby!!!! Due for induction tomorrow (and am very scared!).
I'm sure you will be fine. Just think of the end result
My DS was also due on 28 November (nearly 12 years ago) and I too had to be induced when he was 2 weeks overdue. He made his appearance on 13 December ... and is still late for everything to this daySmiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

sunshine_shell I really feel for you, some people look at you as if you are mad if you get organised early for Christmas, yet then they are disorganised or can't be bothered and you end up with people like your MIL, they do make me cross! may I suggest you get perhaps try and your OH to speak to her and point out that even though you are pregnant you have put a lot of time and effort into Christmas and in finding the right gift for her etc, so yes, this year you are doing gifts but perhaps next year a decision could be made earlier as you will have a child to look after and be even busier (subtext, guilt the **** out of her!) I really feel for you, it's awful when you have put in so much thought and care and somebody does that, 11th of December is not a date for big Christmas decisions!!
I've had enough of her messing us around, i'll take their family gifts back and spend the money in the sales on me and my new little family.
They don't do family stuff like my family do, so i will enjoy my last Christmas with my family and as a couple, then prepare for the arrival of our own little bundle of joy!!! I hope i'm never a horrible MiL like her!:rotfl:0 -
i got a lovely surprise today, a few weeks ago i completed a local town council questionaire today ive had a £25 tesco gift card arrive in the post as apparently all names went into a prize draw and my name was picked out at random:D

My goodness what a day so far.. its dh bday so meant to be nice and calm..i was going to go into town and get dh's dinner (Steak, chips and onion rings with black forest gateux) and start getting the other bits for xmas food...
My rabbits had other ideas, both escaped over night, we have badgers and foxes visit our gardens so first thoughts was they were gone, forever.... went out for a walk around and they had gone about 10ft away from their hutch... in a small gap between the houses and fences.. grrr. the older one came instantly when she saw food and lept into the cat basket.. shes back in her cage... the blind albino on the other hand! shes hiding, scared and and came out for a carrot and straight back in the hold again ahhhh gonna be a long few days at this rate lol.. i've moved their run infront of the hole so she can't go too far.
On another note i got my last xmas pressies today!!! well need to get dd4 some pj's for xmas eve but that is no problem. and i got the xmas cheese and tv guide! ... shall pop up again tomorrow to get the pickles. and other bits i forgot..Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Yes I agree. I quite often feel isolated with this but i'm sure there are so many going through the same thing. Like you say, not nice for other people to go through it too but it does help to know people understand it. x0 -
princesskitty29-Im glad this is a place where people can offload, we are all friends here.

chirpychick I hope it goes ok with you and the baby, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Just think of what you will have at the end of it.
sunshine_shell good on you, spend the money on you and your little family. She should have told you earlier if she didn't want to do gifts.
Hugs to any who need them.
Not long till Christmas now!“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

always after a bargain - oh poor you, I struggle enough with my dh working away mon-fri, i cant even immagine how awful it must be, but at least you are all together for christmas, i love your idea of shutting out the world for a few days!
chirpychick - very best of luck tomorrow, the best christmas gift of all will soon be safe in your arms. can we call him levan/franklin CLAUS???
feeling a little down again today, but we have a full weekend of christmassy activities, including going to see nativity 2, and a visit to see santa & his reindeer, si im confident that will put the magic back into it for us all. mum has decided her & my brother are going to have a quiet christmas at home together, but theyre coming to us (along with my 2 nephews & lickle niece) xmas eve for a bit of a party so im busy planning party bags & games for the kiddies!
a couple of last minute pressies arrived today so once girls are in bed i can crack on with another wrapping session! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0
