    Xmas Saver!
Think I must start the dreaded wrapping tomorrow.

Don't think anyone has mentioned this.
When tying a bow with your ribbon, go round the first time twice. Then twist by swapping hands. This will stop it becoming loose when tying the bow.

Does that make sense ? Not sure it does.

When you begin, you go over to the back, then under to the front, then over to the back, then under to the front. Then cross them over, left to right. You can then tie the bow without the first bit becoming loose.

Does that make more sense ?

I think it really is something you need to see being done.

I tried the Matalan reindeer cardigan on and whilst I love it don't think it looks right on me:( I am going to take it back and get the New Look reindeer hoodie instead. I am more of a hoodie person! I showed OH who said oh yes that's good but you do realise that ds2 won't want to be seen with you wearing that! He is singing in a concert at the Bowes museum on Sunday and I will wear it to that! i don't care anyway it's my birthday and i can do what I like:rotfl:

just a word of warning I bought the reindeer hoody from newlook and exchanged it twice before settling for a refund due to the furry antlers rubbing away in patches on the first wash each time despite me washing inside out gutted as was so cute!

Just saw these on my online travels and thought some of you may find them useful. Free printable Santa tags (pdf):

    In addition to this

Another word of warning about the New Look Hoodie. We bought a size 10 for our normally size 8 daughter and it was very snug fitting. It was also hard to get over her head. Even my husband commented that the quality was poor.

As they didn't have any size 12's we finished up getting the money back and bought a not very MSE Panda Hoodie from David and Goliath instead.

  • My husband and I have been discussuing what to do for Christmas whether to invite his parents and grandparents (who we have had the last 2 years) or my sister and family (not been for 5 years). He is not very sociable and if people are here he tends to go out walking the dog. Anyway yesterday he said ask my sister to see if she would like to come, so I rang her and she was very excited and is to let me know. I told my husband and now he is very grumpy saying he has got to sort everything out and meant me to ask her but not invite her?????? How the heck to you do that - do you want to come for Christmas but actually you are not invited!!! What he has got to sort out is anybodys guess - I have done the presents and will buy and cook the dinner and clean the house!! God men they are such a pain. Rant over - love Christmas especially all the lights :T:T:T
