  • own my own families eh, sounds like you have the patience of a saint and pushed that little bit too far. Made me think about everything though and I just wished I had the baubles to speak out to family too. Sometimes you really do have to be cruel to be kind. Sending hugs your way.x

    Thanks.
I am fine now. Have just worked out that I have had her for Christmas day 10 out of the last 12 years
Somehow my sister has managed to get out of it for 4 of her 6 turns
I don't speak to my sister or I would ring her up and tell her. Just as well we don't speak really,:rotfl:

It has done me a favour truth be told. I wasn't looking forward to Christmas,(as you know), but now I am.:D
Ds happy in his room, dd laying on the sofa and me in my chair with a nice glass of white. What more could anyone want.

That sounds like a plan, especially as my DS is similar to yours I think we will be chatting on here Christmas Day :T
  • Hello all. Manic week at work - if my plan is to finish this Friday for a (glorious) 3 weeks off then I have SO much to do before then!!

Just sitting doing some work emails now and stuck on that Lorraine's Last Minute Christmas which I recorded last night. Oh my word - she's just pretty much claimed ownership of the cake-in-a-jar gift idea by saying it was 'born' when she forgot to get her friend a present a couple of years ago then looked up and saw jars on her shelves which inspired her!! Every idea she's had has been pretty old hat - hibiscus flowers in cava, 'stained glass' cookies, chocolate bark etc. She's also saying really vomit-inducing things about how 'last minute' she is. In a show clearly filmed in August. I love cookery shows but honestly, I'm not sure why - TV chefs annoy me so much!

Thinking of you Chirpychick. Hope as births go, it's swift and stress-free for you all!

Thanks to Bargain hunts my elves now have a facebook page:T - see below - so if you have elves or just passing on fb can you add like to their page - will tickle the kids when they see a fan base for them? These are keeping the xmas spirit going for us and something I can do whilst DS watching movie.

For all the other elves out there with fb pages - please like www.facebook.com/GaldorandBlinky

I have liked the page and enjoyed looking through the photos, looks like the elves get up to all sorts! Trying to introduce this with my niece and nephew but too late for this year so maybe next!!

Such a good idea, if I was able to I would always exercise in the mornings as it's my best time of day. They gym is near my house, but i'm roughly a 40min drive from work so unless I get up at 5am every day I just don't have time to pop to the gym in the morning! Will have to carry on trying to drag myself there at night when my brain says I should be on the sofa under a blanket with pie and mash! :p[/QUOTE]

Trust me it was much easier when I didnt have a choice! Im making it out in my head that I dont have a choice anymore just get up and get on with it, I will appreciate it when I get to go home at 5pm guilt free!!

WeeClick: I REALLY recommend checking out Jillian Michaels DVDs on Amazon NO more trouble zones for a good weights session and Boost metobolism burn fat for a cardio workout (she has many other including 30 DS). These are amazing and I highly recommend them for those days you cant make it to the gym, I brought them last year and I have given up on the gym (I still have a Personal Trainer 2 a month same as what I was paying in monthly gym fees) and work out 5 times a week to these (+ 30 ds and ripped in 30) at home and I am deifnately more fitter and toned then ever (even before my wedding).

I agree Im a HUGE JM fan got all of the dvds plus most of her books too! But I struggle with the dvds alone, seem to burn alot more at the gym its just a case of kicking my own bum lol!

Had such a successful lunch trip! Went to craft world got my cellophane, £3 for 12m!!!! The assistant had to pick her jaw off the floor when I told her I paid £13 for a roll at the florist last year :rotfl: but when it was christmas eve I really left myself no choice! Better still they had such a good selection going to go back in the week for some pinky design ones for my nieces birthday present (27th Dec making her a sweet tree!) They also had the blur furry material I was looking along with fabric glue as Im making my niece a cookie monster cookie jar :D Now just need to get the jar from ikea at the weekend and I can get to making that too! Theres enough material to do about 4 jars, and a girl in work seemed interested so if the first one works out well I might be able to sell a few more to make the money back on it :D

Also went into M&S and got their "deal of the week" which is a gold platter of choc from £12 to £6 at the time I bought it not sure who I would give it to (but looked great value so couldnt leave it) I was half tempted to keep it but have to remember my diet  lol so its going in my grandparents hamper which pretty much completes theirs now (they have ALOT of M&S stuff this year too :) )

Now skint until payday next Tuesday just glad we are getting paid a week earlier this month! Goodness knows I need it! Really trying to pay off my overdraft so really want to add at least £50 to it a month but its not easy! Ive literally banned myself from using the card its the only way! I have about £2 left in change and a £10 note and thats it full stop. DO NOT LET ME SPEND ANY MORE LOL!! On the plus side I have alot of overtime coming to me this month plus just completed an asthma trial which I am waiting on a cheque for and lastly joined my sister up to sky so we are both owed £75 M&S vouchers in the next 3 weeks :D

Sorry if Ive missed anything but need to go to bed now alarm is set for 6am and I will be at the gym before work even if BF has to drag me there :rotfl:

OMO-we all have a breaking point & she's clearly pushed you to yours. There's only so long that you can bite your tounge/make allowances for people. I've recently lost it with a 'friend' after biting my tounge and letting her get away with far too much for far too long. Now she's out of my life & I'm much happier for it. Here's to a happier Christmas...:xmassign:

  • Think my teens think i've totally lost it... we're having an elf reindeer day today (though the elf forgot to put the cuddly reindeer out oops lol) he has made reindeer paper lunch bags today... and im wearing my reindeer jumper which libbie is loving that it has a shiny nose and has antlers! (the newlook one) .... im quite chuffed cause it was a little on the small side when i bought it, but fits lovely now! (specially as others have said they found it a snug fit too)

Think its the last kindergym today before xmas.... though might be wrong so we're going all christmassy just in case lol
