OMO, I'm so sorry hun It seems to be the same all over the country then.[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
Live in the moment more and appreciate the small things0 -
evening all - havent had a chance to catch up so going to post this then go have a read!
What a day! We had a christmas lunch today, amazing, completely stuffed though tbh! Didnt go to the team drinks this evening though, this glandular fever is still wiping me out! Found out though from tests at the doctors its a mild form which is good but dread to think what a bad dose of it would do to me if this is how I feel!
Did some more christmas shopping (I keep telling myself Im finished then find other things I need!!!) Got some great wee buys which Ive taken photos of for you all Even got a taste of my first gingerbread latte - yum!
Got these to write clues on for a "hide n seek" gift on christmas morning, so far thought of 2 places to hide, need to find alot more and come up with clues! Then need to find the energy to place them all out on christmas eve - they will each have a small chocolate coin attached and the last gift at the end is 100 egyptian dollars for our hols next year (£10 our money)
Got these as part of the starbucks 12 days of christmas (ends Sunday they reckon) The packet was just £2 will finish off auntie and uncles hamper well!
Got this from the craft stall at the market, loved it and knew my mum would too so again finishes her and dads hamper :T
Got these cute bags in poundland for the niece and nephew (along with their hampers and a few things to share think its fair to say they are spoilt this year and thats just stuff from me!)
This is the contents of the bags - works out including cost of the bags £6 but as me and my friend said if you went to a high street store for a bag like that you'd easily spend £10 on them and probably get less!
That bag is fab! I hope my local poundshop has them, thanks for sharing.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -

I think the bag came on its own from Pounland, and weeclick added the contents, making the gift price £6.0 -
Aaww Linky I'm so sorry the fayre didn't go better:( Have you recovered your costs tho? I know the long hours you've put it:( but I'm sure others have said they'd had a bad first outing and then things picked up, you may still get orders from your business cards:) I do hope so you deserve to get some reward for your hard work. Did you enjoy selling? The banter with the customers etc?The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

No haven't covered costs:(
Bought stamps and cutters that weren't cheap.:(
Didn't have any banter at all. They were a miserable lot. Don't know why half of them came. Mostly sold to kids so doubt my cards will even be seen. I was between 2 tombolas, and a lot of people just walked straight past me from one to the other one.
The PTA lady said it was amazing how people would spend £1 trying to win a £1 price, but were not willing to buy something for £1.
Am not going to get upset. It wont change anything. Just not sure if I want to carry on doing it. Will add some of my things to families presents, but have no idea what I am going to do with the rest.
Here are some pics of my table at the beginning.Mind you it didn't look a lot different at the end.( Had to use phone as I forgot camera).

OMO your stuff looks great, and very professional. I don't think it's anything to do with the quality of your items, I think it's more that people don't have extra money at the moment to spend on stuff they don't need, no matter how nice it is
Have you thought about trying to sell any remaining stuff on eBay?
I am so sorry it didn't go well for you but please be reassured I am sure everyone on here will agree that it really does look amazing - so it is nothing to do with it 'not being good enough' or anything, I think it is just circumstances outside your control at the moment0 -
OMO your table looks fantastic. It couldn't have looked better.
Are there no other fayres you could go to?
Good luck.Money SPENDING Expert0
