I am waiting for the kids to come home - as their elves have got their first Xmas card and I am desparate for them to open it....................

Hope mine have arrived yesterday and today.........

Off to buy an elf for my sister's little girl (give it to sister for next year - she will be almost 3 then). Am not sure my sister shares my excitement but we are visiting home this weekend to see my sick dad and they normally come with us - so know that her little one will know what it is tee hee ..:rotfl:

    Afternoon all.

OMO good luck, I hope it all goes fabby for you.

Still no sign of my cat Turbo. I am heartbroken, it's so unlike him to go off. Have done the usual road/lane check, and contacted vets etc, but no news of him.

I am still trying to be Christmassy though. I can't keep on crying, it's not good for me or anyone else at home. It's hard, but I'm trying my best. I've marzipaned my cake today, and iced the board for it. So I'll prob ice the cake on Sunday, and then start with the decoration of it. Fetched out all the decs etc and tree from the garage yesterday, so they'll be going up over the weekend.

Hope everyone's ok, and massive hugs to all who is feeling in need. xx

    Xmas Saver!
Wouldn't like to say it is going badly, but they are not going to charge me for the table.

Have any of your neighbours gone away for a few days and your cat got locked in their house. My cat went missing last summer for 4 days and he had only been 2 doors away. When the neighbours came back he ran out. Luckily they had a cat and had left his clean litter tray down so no nasty mess for them. One hungry cat though.

Hi Ruth_honey. Re the clothing problem tomorrow - I'd go for the dress, as long as it's not too dressy ( evening gown type IYSWIM). It would be a lovely opportunity to dress up as you say.
I'm sure you will have lots of chances in the next few weeks to wear your Christmas jumper, on more casual occasions. HTH.
Bed time, good night all!

    I'm at Lush Colchester:)

I think you should wear the dress and maybe the jumper too if it is chilly! :D

I wore the dress. Couldn't have the jumper over the top as the dress neckline is fancy and it wouldn't sit right under the jumper. I'll wear the jumper to the cross stitch meet just before Christmas. One of the staff in the library was wearing her Christmas jumper today. :rudolf:

I used to work at the Romford Lush. Started just after it opened. Miss the discount. ;)

I have posted this on the elf thread .....hope it helps someone...

Elf - anyone still looking ?
Saw this on ebay - too late I'd already brought one for my niece that is the same as the one my children have. I last used ebay 4 years ago so out of practice. Anyhow once I completed the order I saw this cute little guy - who I would have preferred I think - norwegian or german one - anyhow HTH someone....

If you dont mind me asking, how much did you sell the cards for? Mine are 13x13 and I was originally going to sell for £1.50 each but now have cold feet as worry parents may not pay that (it's not in such a great area).

I just said they were all £1 each, I had the same worry about people not wanting to for out that much or a card (even though they probably would spend that in a shop)

If I was at a bigger Fayre, I would have split them into two piles - one for £1 and bigger/fancier ones for £1.50
