  • Hi Ruth_honey. Re the clothing problem tomorrow - I'd go for the dress, as long as it's not too dressy ( evening gown type IYSWIM). It would be a lovely opportunity to dress up as you say.
I'm sure you will have lots of chances in the next few weeks to wear your Christmas jumper, on more casual occasions. HTH.
Bed time, good night all!

Hi all, haven't caught up with all the pages yet, but I wanted to post about my first craft fayre.

I didn't offload as much as I would have liked and will need to look for another local fayre, but I did make £101 :T

    The things that sold were:
17 x Snowman Soup (Sold out, I could have shifted more as well)
    13 x Handmade cards
6 x Reindeer food (unfortunately one of the other stalls sold it as well)
    3 x Reindeer Poop
    8 x Snowman Poo
    10 x Dairy Milk Snowmen
    2 x Perfect Man
    14 x Pony Bead Keyrings
8 x Knitted stockings (with chocs and candy cane inside)
4 x ES Tree Decs......I was disappointed not to sell more of these :(

I put our tree up on Tuesday night - not wrapped any presents to go under it yet as I've been so busy, that will need to wait till next week :)

The children found our Elf the next morning 'helping' put another dec on, and with a bag of things for them to add:

Ameyturtle what a tough few days you've had ((hugs)) xxx They obviously didn't deserve you and you are much happier at Lush :)
Junior_J I do hope you are not over doing things. I will be checking :) can't have to hampering your own recovery. A girl with your strength and determination can defo kick the cigs too. Just remember that you will keep fancying one but the craving only lasts a very short time. I gave up eight years ago after 25 years of being a smoker and I think once I got my head round the fact I would still fancy one but it would pass it was much easier:)
Moneysavingmumofone you can't be without Internet I need you! Didn't get to see the coke cola truck:( DGD has had a shocking cold and has left her with an awful cough - my DD said I wasn't allowed to play out!!!
Noodles Mali is adorable what a princess :) Nias room looks fab too. You've been very busy haven't you. Don't be overdoing it!
Louise well done you on your sales. I'd have thought more of the ES decorations would have sold too.
Feisty feisty feisty I absolutely adore your family tree. I would love one. I really do neeeeeeeed a cameo:) And an eighth day each week to play with it.
Linky I can feel stressful vibes. Where are you ??? I kno you don't need much sleep but do try to rest. Please cos we all need you:)

OMO - I am desperate to hear how you got on at the fayre!

Louise that sounds very encouraging! I can't sell food at mine and those seem to have done best :( After speaking to someone organising it, they have said wrapped chocs should be okay - am off to poundland to do hot chocolate mugs - they have some lovely Christmas mugs in there! If you dont mind me asking, how much did you sell the cards for? Mine are 13x13 and I was originally going to sell for £1.50 each but now have cold feet as worry parents may not pay that (it's not in such a great area).

For all of those that have asked, I will be selling my trees from next year. If you would like any other info on them (costs etc) PM me :)

Sounds like you could do with a hug too! I used to work for Lush. Funnily enough I left when I didn't get on with the new boss. Which Lush do you work in? (I don't mind if you'd rather not post it online)
Hope you're feeling better now. Lots of bugs going round at the moment.

I've got a Christmas meal to go to tomorrow. I can't decide if I should wear a red dress-which I've only worn once before-or my Christmas jumper and a skirt/trousers. It's in a pub at lunchtime, but I don't get the chance to dress up that often.

    I'm at Lush Colchester:)

I think you should wear the dress and maybe the jumper too if it is chilly! :D
  • LazySheep-What about Levi Roots Reggae reggae recipe book? Its around £5 from Amazon from 3rd party sellers. Or a mini move night hamper, you can get £2 dvds from amazon, maybe even cheaper fromn 3rd party sellers. (sometimes you're lucky and get 1p dvds plus £1.26 postage!) Add popcorn, sweets and drink in a gift bag? I suggest movie night hampers to everyone lol as I think they appeal to a wide range of people and I would love one! :D

I was going to suggest the Reggae Reggae recipe book too!

Or if she has a Kindle:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Caribbean-Soul-Food-Cookbook-ebook/dp/B003QHZ2BQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1354810811&sr=8-3

Cheers guys - I went with the movie hamper as I managed to find a 1p DVD on Ama*on so will find some popcorn etc to finish it off when I go shopping tomorrow.
