Ah thank you but he is a she but that means I should go and buy more pink clothes! She only really has neutral and what ever anyone else has bought until she grows! Just uploading Nia's room pics to photobucket x
Oh goodness I'm so sorry! She is beautiful anyway
(hopes didn't offend, I dressed DD in turquoise bottoms when she was about 2 weeks old and everyone thought she was a boy)
Doh, just seen your pic again and she even has bows on her trousers. Doh. Very sorry. Don't know where my head is today...Bossymoo

Those Monsters High build doll kits things, you dont need anything fancy to assemble them do you? Just thought I have got one of the kit things for my sis for xmas and I just now thought oh please say they dont need anything to go with them lol“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Gran is coming to stay this year and we all cant wait. Most of my gifts are done bar mum, who just wants a good pair of slippers for christmas, those boot style ones. She would steel mine if she could. I am so glad its December now, I can wear my new look rudolf reindeer hoodie in public without weird looks lolFeistyFidget wrote: »Need a little gift helpI have two little cousins to buy for and their Mum has mentioned they want the Lorax and Wall e on DVD - She knows our budget is £10 a head. The Lorax is £10 and Wall e is only £8 - We would ordinarily buy a tiny £2 gift to make it up to £10, but that would mean the other child would only get a DVD. We have made it quite clear we are sticking to a budget so dont want to over-spend on one as he chose a more expensive DVD (they have 4 children so would need to increase the others as well) - Any suggestions?
How about getting a £1 gift for each of them? Or a packet of sweets? Still under budget but the same each, I really dont think it would matter that one had £1 more spent on them, they'd notice that one had more presents rather than money spent imo.
Me and DS have spent a lovely afternoon/evening decorating cakes, making and putting up paperchains, making gift bags (which I am shockingly bad at even though they were from a kit!) and a gingerbread man shaped paper garland. Also wrapped some presents up earlier with OH so all in all a rather christmassy day! :j'They only had one cow!'0 -
youngest dd has decided to announce tonight that she "isnt sure if santa is real, its just not possible", she's 5, im gutted! Dh stepped in & gave her the whole "its magic" speech, but as i put her to bed i could see it was still playing on her mind. I need to do something special, something which will help her hold onto the childhood belief a while longer. I am thinking maybe one of santa's big black buttons dropped on the floor xmas day (i could engrave SC on it somehow?). She's a clever little thing, so it needs to be something as realistic as i can make it. Any suggestions, please, im so upset to think this could be the last year of magic for her, at such a young age :-(It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

I would either just give them their DVDs each..they will have no idea on how much they cost, or with the spare £2 get them both something with a £1 each..poundland may help you here!0 -

Oh my, thats quite young, could you do the PNP for her? the santa is very real and you can completely tailor it to her, you can even watch it before you let her view it to make sure your happy? http://www.portablenorthpole.com/home0 -
FeistyFidget-Wow!! The family tree is absolutely beautiful!
Oh no how gutting pinknfluffy.I think the button idea is great, the things I do with DS are using magic snow on the windowsills (as Santa comes in through our communal hallway window.
) and trailing it through to his room and use OHs work boots to make prints, I chew the carrots and leave a little gnawed bit as if the reindeer had eaten them (I hate carrots yuk!) ring sleigh bells outside later at night...Could you get something hand crafted, like something from wood for her stocking so she really believes Santa/his elves made it? If I think of anything else Ill let you know!
Edit: Do you have a family member/friend who would dress up as the man himself and you could wake her up to show her Santa in the garden just as hes walking out of the gate/out of view? If you and your DH are with her it couldnt possibly be anyone else? They could do a very convincing HO HO HO and jingle sleigh bells once out of sight?

Hmmmm a tricky one. Could you make "soot" foot prints that Santa left in his yearly visit? Or a letter especially to her from the big man himself for Christmas day?“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

I would just give them both the DVD and not add anything. Its a nice present anyway and something they want.
I would think just the DVD each is fine. But if you feel really bad about it, maybe buy a small bag of popcorn to go with each DVD. Home bargains is good for this if you've got one nearby. Or crisps/pringles/sweeties. £8 & £10 aren't that much difference, so they won't notice. If it was a £5 gift & a £20 gift, then fair enough, but don't worry about it too much.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I think sometimes they do believe but because they are at the "what" "why" stage their questioning gets the better of them.
DS (4 years old) practically told me santa didn't exist the other day and is very dubious that elf gets up to mischief on his own.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0
