Sorry, I'm afraid OH does all the wizardry, he has a digital SLR. He started to say something about high aperture but then I was distracted by the photos of your cards...gorgeous! Very Rob Ryan-esque!

Just had to look up Rob Ryan :shocked:But I think I may be in love! Not with him, but his work :)

Just sold a gingerbread man ornament on facebook =D

My plan for the Christmas fete is to have a real Christmas tree and put all my tags and decorations on there for buyers to choose :) I think the kids will love this!

    Hey everyone. :)
Loving the ideas and the pictures of the tree look fantastic - like a show home. :D

We've had a run on advent calendars today lol. We've had them in stock for at least all of November but I suppose you don't realise December is nearly here until it arrives. Apparently all the shops in the area had sold out by mid-afternoon, so people were starting to panic lol. Was good for business anyway, especially as the area bosses were worried we wouldn't shift them. That said, we have loads left still, so maybe they will reduce them. :)

I've helped my Mum do a bit more Christmas shopping and I've insisted that she update the spreadsheet I made her, to keep track. She is not far off for a lot of people now. Plus, we were able to get a few lovely bits from M&S. They have lots of beauty products 1/2 price including some nice Imperial War Museum sets, so that's groovy. I love a bargain. :)

Edit: I forgot to mention, I got home from work to find out I have been shortlisted for another job. I have my lesson observation on Tuesday. It is a school where I used to live and one of my friends [a Rev I met when I was doing voluntary work at the local community centre] is one of the governors [I obviously didn't make any reference to that/try to pull strings or anything]... So, fingers crossed. And, thank you to all the people that told me not to worry about the previous job - something has indeed turned up. :) *fingers crossed*
  • Everybodys makes and xmas trees are looking fab! 1st dec 2moro :)

got a few more lil bits after big plans were dashed by our car breaking and costing £190!!!

got a thomas bath paint set, 4 scented nail varnishes and lots of hairbobbles/clips and mini crackers for the tree in 99p store i <3 that place :)
    have started a xmas food

got lucky in asda 2day while picking up the weekly shop found foxes red tin of biscuits reduced to £2 as tin was dented biscuits were fine! and the tins straight now :D
posh stuffing mix big box reduced to 50p
also got cheese cracker selection £1 and some pickled onions and sweet pickle both smartprice but for 31p and 24p they'll do! (leaves more pennys for nice cheeses nearer the time )
  • Am hoping one of you lovely lot can help me please?

Been checking contents of sons movie hamper and realized I still haven't got a large coca cola cup like you have at the cinema. Looked everywhere today with no luck...has anyone spotted any? (don't want to use ebay if possible as I end spending too much!)
    Stopped smoking 20th October 2012 :D

This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!

Do you have a Tesco cafe near you? Ours sells drinks in the big coca cola cups and the drinks are really cheap. Its self service so you could easily sneak an extra cup or just not get the drink lol. (My MSEness would not allow that though :rotfl:)

I asked at McDonald's if I could have 2 large ones and explained why I wanted them - they were happy to give them to me :money:

I bought these cheeses in Asda last week, keep forgetting to post a picture! £1 each, so cute! :D

    pb301084.jpg

Also made these up last week for 2 secret santas. They're 'Little bags of indulgence' and contain a bar of Asda extra special chocolate, either 2 Yankee candle tarts or a Yankee candle votive candle, a chocolate stirrer and sachet of hot chocolate. :)

And a pic of the Coca Cola truck last week just for good measure lol.

I need those cheeses! Don't shop in asda often, as there's not one nearby(Tesco central here!) but will have to find these & eat cheese & crackers when watching The Snowman & Father Christmas.

Moneysavingmumofone your presents look fab well done, I'd love to receive something like that. Can I ask if your cheeses have long dates on them? Hoping to go to see the coke cola truck either Sunday or Monday with my DGD she's not quite two so I think I will be more excited than her!
Caitlin your second tree looks fab, it must be so festive now in your house, DH has done a great job again with the photos. Loving your very special little owl (and of course the story that comes with it) x

    Xmas Saver!
    Nanamia, I'm here x

Blooming PTA lady gave me the wrong date for Bazaar. It is on Friday not Saturday. So I now have one less evening to get everything ready.

This evening I have made and filled 80 boxes. I made that amount as I also have the party on Wednesday.
They have 2 packs of Cadburys buttons and a choc snowman in them, so I think they will sell. (got 12 bags of buttons for £1 in poundland)
Tomorrow I am going to do candy cane and M&M poems, reindeer food, and bags of poop.

Last night I stamped all my tags and made all the paper toppers for my jars.

Funny thing is that although I have less time I am less worried about a Friday Bazaar, than I was about a Saturday Bazaar. For some reason it feels less serious.

Hope you are not too lonely tonight. xxxxx
