    another free kindle book.
    HTH

ooopps. cant edit the font any smaller. sorry.
  • I have downloaded so many free books for my k1ndle that I think I'll be reading them throughout next year! :o
  • Hi everyone!

Not been on for ages as been quite poorly lately...seems to have been one thing after the other; felt like a right old grump :(
Today, however I woke up feeling brilliant :)

I'm determined to get my festive cheer back so have read through tons of pages () of what you have all been up to!!

Firstly huge ((Hugs)) to all those that need them; ...there's me feeling sorry for myself while others are having a much harder time...puts things into perspective doesn't it

Secondly, congrats to Maggie McQ! How exciting a new baby for 2013!!

Thirdly, Chirpychick - where is the new baby boy we are all waiting for??? I NEED to know what you've decided to call him!

I've decided that as tomorrow is the 1st (how exciting!!) I'm off to visit a craft fair to hopefully get some stocking fillers, followed by wrapping presents whilst watching Christmas films. If that doesn't bring back my xmas spirit then I don't know what willl!
    Stopped smoking 20th October 2012 :D

This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!
  • Hi I've not been here for a while and it's moved on over 300 pages but can anyone tell me where to find Xmas toilet roll please? TIA

I got some Snowman toilet roll from Wilkinsons. :)

Congrats MaggieMcQ - fabulous news! So exciting! :j

I haven't been on here in a while (last page I was on was 475!) as i've been busy, busy, busy, but i'm going to try to read back a few pages and hope I haven't missed too much! x

    Hi elves!!
Christmas has just got a bit more exciting, DH and i found out the other night that Im pregnant!!!! It was all very dramatic, woke up at 4am yesterday with a very sore back and tummy, no surface or position eased the pain, so DH decided to take me up to hospital. The DR examined me and took a urine sample, he came back in to the room with a smirk and said ''You are pregnant, congratulations.'' Look on DHs face was priceless! Shocked but happy. So only 6 or 8 weeks gone, going to my own Doc on Tuesday to refer me to the antenatal department, maternity ward is right up the hill from us :) so hopefully get a scan before Christmas but most likely in New Year! Vomited after drinking water last night and again this morning, so hoping that eases off. Not planning to tell everyone until we get a scan but i am bursting with excitement!!!!!

    Congratulations! :D xx

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all!

Hugs to those that need them and congrats to our new expectant mum, Maggie.

A Hubby free lunch so nipped to Mr Ts and bought some spices and naan bread (Jan 17 date on it) for his curry hamper. Just need to pick up an apron and a couple of wooden spoons to finish it off.

Sorted his advent calendar out last night, wrapped up some pick n mix for each of the drawers, took ages. Also hid a few pressies for advent too (Vue giftcard to see Nativity2 next Wed, cufflinks for work's xmas do and some thermal socks for his next footy match) and put a little clue in each of the corresponding day's drawer.

Looking forward to putting up the decs this weekend. Found some bottles of mulled wine from year so we can get really festive whilst we do it.
  • Congratulations MaggieMcQ - finding out you are expecting is the most precious feeling - i remember walking around in a daze thinking 'wow this is the most exciting and wonderful thing in the whole wide world... and only me + DH know about it at the mo!!!' what a wonderful xmas suprise.
Hope everyone else is gearing up for a festive weekend - we're off to the forest tomorrow to fetch our tree.... soooooooo excited :)

Hi everyone! Can't believe it's December 1st tomorrow! I really should be tidying up a bit and figuring out where everything is gonna go, so I can get the tree up. Just can't get enough 'umph' to get going this afternoon, though.:o
Had to get up early and go to the hospital for my follow up appointment (had gall bladder removed in October) and have been given the all clear, so i can go back to swimming & water aerobics now. :j Skoobie1-Sorry to hear you had an attack. Hope it doesn't lead to any more.

As for Christmas jumpers, mine was from Primark. It's a men's one & cost £12. I think they have some great designs, but not seen how good the quality is for New Look or Peacocks. I know it's not getting worn all year round, but you still don't want it to fall apart quickly. I like these jumpers from Yours (size 16-32) as more of a winter jumper. http://www.yoursclothing.co.uk/ProductList.aspx?keysearch=fairisle
Christmassy, but not TOO Christmassy, if you're looking for something more subtle.

I feel your pain! I had to have a root canal two weeks ago as my tooth had been keeping me up at night :( Was expensive but worth it as tooth pain is one of the worst!
And I was also up for most of the night with a tummy ache, suspected gall bladder trouble :( First attack for about a year, hope it doesn't mean more are to come.

    I'm the same, don't worry!

Right girls, I need your help! I've decided I need a Christmas jumper :j Anyone know where to get one, preferably less than £20?

I've seen a few, like these from boohoo.com and New look but they are sold out or not my size :(This is nice but is £40

My favourite so far is this from Next but don't want to sign up to their account to get one, and it's mens. Will go and get one from a store if I can't find anything else.
Oooo just seen this, but would prefer brighter colours!

Fussy aren't I? :rotfl: It's a toss up at the moment between the Next and New Look ones but I'm open to suggestions, anyone seen anything?

Was very productive last night with my decorations, hoping to finish the cupcakes this evening.

Christmas shopping is going OK too, got a whole lot of online stuff arriving in the next few days. For those we haven't bought, we at least know what we're getting so I feel in control :)

Will enjoy it while it lasts :rotfl::rotfl:

I brought this one from Matalan.. http://www.matalan.co.uk/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=65859 its more of a navy blue than black, and I had a £5 off voucher when you spend £25 or more online code - 39NOV05k.
or this is lovely..a bit more at £28..im very tempted! http://www.marksandspencer.com/Round-Neck-Heart-Reindeer-Jumper/dp/B00450BXLQ?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_39&nodeId=43078030&sr=1-39&qid=1354284307
