Does anyone know where I can get stocking hangers, to hang stockings off the edge of the fireplace?
I would have thought they were a pretty basic thing, but I can't find any ANYWHERE. The only ones I've found were on the Studio website, and although they were a great price, I don't really want to have to become a member/sign contracts/etc just to buy one small item.
Has anyone seen any? (Or have any other methods of hanging the things up...) What do you lot do with your stockings?'They only had one cow!'0 -
Thanks for all the stocking hanger suggestions! I shall look again online, and in TK Maxx.

Congrats Maggie
I think that is the best Christmas present of all, I wish you a happy and healthy remaining 32 weeks (but that sounds scary
)
I second Peacocks for jumpers - they have a gorgeous red and white snowflake one which I am tempted by!
Well had a very un-MSE trip to Aldi - came out with 2 advents calenders (peppa pig for me and power rangers for DH - I am a big kid) mini stollen and dark chocolate gingerbread hearts. My Nan is german and she had a big role in my upbringing. Although she is thankfully still with us, she has dementia - I always feel nostalgic when chomping on german treats.
I also brought some butter and will make the first Mince Pies of the year on SundayI have a jar of mincemeat from last year and am very excited about tomorrow - tree is going up and I will tuck into my stollen and gingerbread
Also brought a lovely cinnamon and apple candle from the 99p store - I love this scent![/COLOR]2024 Challenges

I bought these cheeses in Asda last week, keep forgetting to post a picture! £1 each, so cute!
Also made these up last week for 2 secret santas. They're 'Little bags of indulgence' and contain a bar of Asda extra special chocolate, either 2 Yankee candle tarts or a Yankee candle votive candle, a chocolate stirrer and sachet of hot chocolate.
And a pic of the Coca Cola truck last week just for good measure lol.'They only had one cow!'0 -
My second tree is up! This one is in the living room and is my real tree which I order online and the Elves (OK, TNT) deliver.
The close up pics include the owl decoration from the proposal story. It's just thin coated paper but it's kept well for the last couple of years, hoping it will keep for many more!0 -
Another gorgeous tree Caitlyn! Love the christmas cushion too.'They only had one cow!'0

Sorry, I'm afraid OH does all the wizardry, he has a digital SLR. He started to say something about high aperture but then I was distracted by the photos of your cards...gorgeous! Very Rob Ryan-esque!0 -
Thanks for all the Christmas jumper tips everyone, I think a trip to Primark is on the cards
Am soooooo cross, I'm making a mini Christmas village in a box (think the Putz house villages but smaller) and one of my house mates or the cleaner has binned the cardboard fence I spent hours cutting out and painting :mad::mad::mad: Soooo not impressed

On the plus side, tree up tomorrow :j:j:j
And I can start using my Christmas shopping bag I got from Tesco last year, it's black with snowflakes that light up
