feeling a bit off today as nauseous and ears buzzing again, same as when I had the virus in the New year, think I will have to go back to the docs but sooooo busy next week as the start of exam season!
got my Jessica stuff from feelunique today so will start the treatment for the next 6 to 8 weeks.not sure if i can use nail polish on top....any ideas?
Hi rosemary, give Molten Brown White Mulberry hand lotion a try or maybe anything with white mulberry in it as it's a skin brightener. I don't have age spots so can't comment on whether you would see a significant difference but this lotion certainly brightens the skin on the back of my hands.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well again. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Apart from face scrubs is there anything else you can do for milia? How often should I be scrubbing? They are getting quite sore now due to the sheer number of them. I'm certain it was the Botanics oily eyemakeup remover that's done it. Back to Avon one I think!0

Mine used to get sore as well. Sometimes this was because they had come close to the skin by then. On the odd occasion I did use a sterile needle to prize them out but you have to be so careful.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I have not had them in any quantity for a long while, when I last did so, I had started taking Lecithin (from Health Food Shop) as I had a bit of a problem with my Gall Bladder and Lecithin is supposed to help with processing the fats, the Milia went away very quickly when I was taking it. Like ValM, I also had done the sterlised needle thing, but not if they were very close to my eyes. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Maddiemay - I've just read the serum articles that you linked to. It's very interesting! I do think that there is a danger of women being sold more and more 'essential' layers of skincare but I'm also curious about serums...
When I went to the L'Occitane evening a lovely girl there gave me a facial. She asked which products I was interested in and I said the Fabulous Serum as I was sure someone here had recommended itShe used the serum and the Shea Lotion and my skin felt lovely (really comfortable) but before doing the facial she had measured how hydrated my skin was and given the result (very hydrated) had said that I should just carry on with whatever I was already doing (an anti-sales pitch, bless her! She was super-nice
) She gave me samples of the serum and the lotion but I don't think I'll be buying them - they are nice but not amazing. I think that the most important thing that I learnt from her was to take my time and really massage the serum/moisturiser in. She said she was doing a 'lift and lock' technique and her movements were really slow and quite firm.
I also remember reading about someone that only uses a serum twice a week, after applying a face mask. I think that this is the approach that I'll take. I'm looking forward to trying the Emma Hardie serum that came in the LiB box. I'd like to find a serum that is calming and hydrating and that will give my skin some extra nourishment once or twice a week. Having said that, I'm already close to that by applying oil or a moisturising mask after a cleansing mask, so maybe a serum is unnecessary?
(One thing that I find weird is facial oils that are labelled serums. If I buy a serum it won't be an oil based one - I think that is deceptive labelling.)
Two little UUs to report:
SCR Gold Creme De Lite (5ml sample) - this lasted for ages! WNBA as it didn't seem to do much (unlike the matching mask which I love).
Snowberry Nourishing Rich Day Cream (2ml sample) - I received this sample after I had taken a leap of faith and bought a full-size one in a flash sale, so WBA I suppose! :rotfl: It's quite strange. It didn't feel that moisturising! It's good for my skin as it isn't too heavy, they say to apply it "sparingly" and it sinks in really quickly and has a mattifying effect (perfect for me but maybe not for someone with dry skin?) I will probably save the full-size one for Autumn/Winter (it's packed away in a nice dark box)

Had a lovely day out at the sunny beach with DH and the dogs. Unfortunately noticed the lining of my Hound Sac (dog walking bag) is ripped so will have to look for a replacement. Off for a nice long soak in the bath, will have some UU to declare later. Hope everyone has had a lovely day.0

I bought some cleanser, moisturiser, hand cream and lipbalm from TBS yesterday - did really well as had 40% off voucher plus a birthday £5 off voucher so I got £29 worth of stuff for £12.39
.
I wasn't sure whether to buy them or not as I have got 3 cleansers (other ones) left in my stash but my skin is the best it's ever been (and I'm 46) using TBS Aloe Calming Cleanser and Day Moisturiser and Garnier Toner for Dry Skin with rose extracts, so I made the decision to stay with those products. I know it may end up being wasteful (of the cleansers in my stash) but my skin is so sensitive and allergic that having found products which are brilliant and affordable (cos of all the special offers), I'm reluctant to use anything else.
On the bright side, since I started this challenge in Jan, I now only have the body lotion that I'm using as I've used up all the rest and one shower gel in my stash and so apart from cleansers, the only thing I have a stash of is hand cream but even that is down to 1 full size and 2 sample sized products. I can't believe it.

re serums/oils I love facial oil at night(not in the day as irritates my eyes) but am testing a cream for Boots for 8 weeks so can't use at the moment:(am using the EM?serum ...not sure of name from one of the boxes at the mo but nothing special:(0 -
My UU for today are
Nivea invisible 48h Deodorant 35ml - only counting minis in the challenge as only buy full sizes when needed, but minis tend to breed in my handbag.
Bamford Geranium Botanic Bath Oil 30ml - loved this very relaxing, but think full size is too expensive, may add to gift lists though.
Have been searching for a dog walking bag like something practical, that's water proof and keeps their stuff separate from mine, but have come up with very little.
This is what I need to replace http://www.houndsac.co.uk/
This is the only alternative i can find http://www.paws4designs.co.uk/index.php
What do people think? Something prettier would have been nice, I haven't found an ordinary bag practical enough. Sorry I know its not toiletries related.0 -
I received my freebie IN today of Garnier Intensive Body Lotion 7 day trial.
I attacked my eyebrows today as I have been neglecting them. They are now looking in good shape.
I am going to give myself a mini facial tonight as I am not going out.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380
