Hey! Been away for a few days as have been very very busy with house and creating whole new and improved spreadsheets for budgeting and my toiletries!
No UU's to reportThe Aapri face scrub is never ending! I thought I would get three more uses out of it at most! Will have to cut it open next time to get the dregs out!
Well done to everyone for their UU's the last few days!May Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far

Oh that's something, do you use any particular system / storage for toiletries and make-up? At the moment mine are all just kind of living togetherMay Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far

HappyTorty - earlier today I was thinking 'I wish I had a great big cupboard, like a larder but for toiletries...' :rotfl: On the whole I've organised things by type (using beauty boxes as they stack easily) but I would love to be able to see everything in one go. (Actually, I'd like to be able to hide everything in one go! :rotfl:) In an ideal world I would have shallow shelves and things organised by type and just the few products that I was using out, preferably on an elegant table. The reality is far from this! I have a basket of things that I'm targeting and it looks terrible but if I don't have it in sight I will forget to use things up...
I'd love some good storage suggestions.0 -
The dream of using everything up is that I'll end up with a small selection of HG items that work wonderfully well for me and absolutely no clutter.
(This seems very unlikely right now :rotfl:)0 -

I'm hoping for the same thing, so far I have found quite a few things I really like, but a lot more that I don't. I have also realised that a lot of things I had bought in the past weren't right for my skin and I think I'm starting to use things that my skin likes a lot better.0 -
I suppose I do not have 'alot' of make-up t organise, but I do have a lot that I do not wear and I want to get good quality products for my HG i.e I dream of having some mac eyeshadows, maybe no more than four/five and get rid of my cheap pallettes!
Keeping them in sight is a good trick! I mite try thatMay Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far

i have some of the ikea hanging shelves/drawers that hang off the rail in your wardrobe these but in black and white. i had to buy a set of matching boxes separately to make them into drawers and the stashed part of my stash is in the biggest two drawers with a make up bag of the make up stash on the next one up and a bag of travel stuff gained from hotels on the one above.
in fact, the exact set i have is on the main picture here and its the one on the far right but only with drawers on the bottom two compartments.0 -
Tossed"
Marcelle BB cream sample. Good size, got three uses and had a bit left. Left the skin not shiny. But this morning after I put it on there was a really funky smell following me. Got my oldest to sniff me and he said it was my face. So took it off and the smell was gone. So, I don't know if the sample had been open too long, or it was just a combo of cleaners, toner, serum and cream? Anyhoo, it's under $25 a tube and I don't know if I'd risk it. Got two EL BB samples to try out.
Four nail polishes. They were light and the thing that put me off was the type of bottle. It was the type where the two bottles are joined in the middle by the cap/brush. Really uncomfortable to use.
Stila two in one lip/cheek colour in Peony. I really wanted to like this but it just didn't last once it was on. Didn't look forward to using it so it's in the bin.
UU:
Boots 4-in-1 cleansing clothes. Opened a L'Oreal one and have a Boots one in stock. (I've just started buy whatever's on sale)
EL daywear cream 15ml size it's in the blue pot. Nice but have many more pots to use up before I'll have to buy more.
Yves Rocher Almond Scrub. Nice, small grains, creamy texture. I'd buy it again but don't want to mail order.
Gifted on a Bath and Body Works lotion and gel set to a co-worker for a birthday prezzie.
Ins:
Well, last weekend was bad. The Bay had a beauty event where a percentage of sales went to Cancer charities. So I had to buy. It was for a good cause.
Lancome's L"Orangerie cologne. Love orange scents
Tressor Cologne. It's a gift for my Mum.
Unfortunately, each qualified for a gwp bag and then a bonus bag because of the amount spent.
Then there was a sell off on Dior Palletes. It was 30% off due to the event. And it came with a GWP.
A lot of the gwp stuff went with my son's girlfriend but I got all the aging creams, mascaras and some of the mini pallettes.
I think there is a donation to the Women's Shelter coming up soon.
It's Mother's Day, tomorrow. And I know number two son was in the Body Shop yesterday....
I'll just plant myself in a corner now.0 -

I wasn't sure whether to buy them or not as I have got 3 cleansers (other ones) left in my stash but my skin is the best it's ever been (and I'm 46) using TBS Aloe Calming Cleanser and Day Moisturiser and Garnier Toner for Dry Skin with rose extracts, so I made the decision to stay with those products. I know it may end up being wasteful (of the cleansers in my stash) but my skin is so sensitive and allergic that having found products which are brilliant and affordable (cos of all the special offers), I'm reluctant to use anything else.
On the bright side, since I started this challenge in Jan, I now only have the body lotion that I'm using as I've used up all the rest and one shower gel in my stash and so apart from cleansers, the only thing I have a stash of is hand cream but even that is down to 1 full size and 2 sample sized products. I can't believe it.
I think that if a product is affecting your skin there's no point in making a LHJ out of it. Chuck out the other cleansers in your stash if they irriitate your skin. I've used the TBS Aloe cleanser before and it is lovely. My only beef with it was the packaging. Thought the lotion was too thick not to have a pump dispenser.
You've done really well graduating in a lot of your stash items. I think the only item I still have masses of are shower gels. My lotions/butters look like they are going down quite well.rosemary54 wrote: »re serums/oils I love facial oil at night(not in the day as irritates my eyes) but am testing a cream for Boots for 8 weeks so can't use at the moment:(am using the EM?serum ...not sure of name from one of the boxes at the mo but nothing special:(
Is that the Emma Hardie serum, Rosemary? I see there's a TSV coming up soon on QVC featuring her products if anyone wanted to buy them again. My UU for today are
Nivea invisible 48h Deodorant 35ml - only counting minis in the challenge as only buy full sizes when needed, but minis tend to breed in my handbag.
Bamford Geranium Botanic Bath Oil 30ml - loved this very relaxing, but think full size is too expensive, may add to gift lists though.
Have been searching for a dog walking bag like something practical, that's water proof and keeps their stuff separate from mine, but have come up with very little.
This is what I need to replace http://www.houndsac.co.uk/
This is the only alternative i can find http://www.paws4designs.co.uk/index.php
What do people think? Something prettier would have been nice, I haven't found an ordinary bag practical enough. Sorry I know its not toiletries related.
Had a nosey at the Bamford oil - I agree £38.00 is expensive for a bath oil. Does anyone remember the old Boots Aromatherapy range. There was one that had geranimum in it and was gorgeous.
The dog bag looks very practical. Wish one of my neighbours had one. I see him every am when I'm walking to the bus stop walking back up the road swinging his little baggie full of poop. Lovely. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I have one of these in my wardbrobe.
http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/storage-shelving/home-storage/storage_units/4-Drawer-Tower-System-Silver-10617596
The first two drawers are jam packed full of shower gels/body lotions. The third drawer has all my nail lacquers in it. The fourth drawer has out of season clothes in it but I really need to find another place for these :rotfl: Have just remembered that the top drawer has loads of contact lense solution in it that I've not used. Think I'll have a go at ebaying them as it's free listing again this weekend. Did put some items on yesterday.
I also have other products in the bathroom. In the cupboard under the bason I have shower gels/body lotions that are on the go. I'm sad and use them in rotation so that I don't get bored. I alternate between fresh, floral and sweet fragrances.
As predicted the Origins Brighter by Nature moisturiser is UU. In the end this made my skin feel lovely although the first couple of applications made it oily. Maybe my skin had to adjust to it? And once I got it in my eye and was in so much pain. I think I have another couple of Oriigins sample moisturisers to try before I move onto the tub of Elemis night cream (only full size in my stash) and then once that's gone I'll be ready for the LE one after it arrives at the end of this month. I'm hoping the LE is as good as I remember as if it is I'll be sticking to this one.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
