Altering my signature just now, I've realised I've hit my first 100 UU :j :j:j and oddly reached 50 IN at the same time so I've UU 2 items for every 1 bought, not bad but I think I can do better!
I'm quite pleased with the progress in four months since the beginning of the year when I started the challenge. Its a good incentive to see it written down to keep up the momentum. Will continue to try and reduce items from the original stash now.
Feel I should treat myself but don't want to be counter productive! Maybe some nice makeup which I don't include in my stash - to be honest I've still been applying the same principles to this as I have to the stash and its not as out of control as the rest of it was in any case, plus UU are soo long winded, I don't think I've the patience! Think I'm more aware of what my HG products are on makeup too, whereas I've lots of blank categories toiletries wise at the moment - looking forward to filling those with some really nice products eventually.0 -
UU tonight - the sulfate free shampoo I have for testing (think its Loreal) WIB? no - have decided my HG shampoo is definately the Bed Head curl one - no idea what sulfates do, but I must like what they do to my hair - cos i dont like this sulfate free stuff much at all.Just need to decide what to do with the treseme colour protect shampoo and conditioner now - not sure i want to start it !!!
BIG thumbs up to my benefit lip moisturiser/gloss/balm though - it takes barely any to spread brilliantly - and my lips are much nicer, less bitty and just lovelyDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
No UUs to declare although I may manage to finish the bar of L'Occitane Verbena soap on the go in the shower later. It's down to half a slim slither now so who knows it could accidentally slip out of my hands and down the drain!
My gifts to my friend were greatly appreciated especially the L'Occitane hand lotion.
No INs today either despite visiting ASDA at lunch and having a mooch at the magazines. Only saw the Rituals freebie but have a couple of body scrubs open so passed.
Need to repaint my nails tonight. I only painted them yesterday and it's already flaked off one and half nails completely.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

VALM - thank you the reminder
:
Used up no.48 L'Occitane Verbena soap (125g)
Thank you for the link to the Decleor site as wellIt's very interesting. I can't remember why I didn't go for the Ylang Ylang one in the first place as I'd say that I have combination skin. It might be because I could made my own oil using Ylang Ylang but I don't have any Neroli oil as it's so expensive, so couldn't make my own. The mask is lovely - not at all drying and it seemed to clear my pores out well (yuk! :rotfl:)
Trudij - if you can get to a WHSmith you could buy Glamour for the freebie L'Occitane cleanser and see if having a break from the Benefit one helps your skin? It's so difficult to know if it's a random flare up or a reaction to a productThe other idea might be to try a cleanser without SLS?

I think these lip balms are my HG. I especially like the lip shimmers.
I hear what you're saying about Sephora. We need these stores and ULTA to open over here.
We did used to have Sephora in the UK, but I don't think it was a success. I remember the store in my town was always empty mainly because it was always messy, but full of expensive products.0 -
Meant to add Willowbee - my post wasn't supposed to sound as preachy as it did sound :rotfl: I sounded like the eBay Godess of the world when I read it back
! I just didn't realise before someone told me that you could sell that stuff on eBay and I had binned so much stuff  Sounds like interesting stuff you had there anyway
Hi Ammonite!
It wasn't preachy - not at allI've just started eBaying and all advice is welcome
One of the reasons that I wanted to put the review up is that I wouldn't recommend the Biotherm serum. Even if it had been great I think I would have struggled to use it up in time and I think it's expensive for what it is.
I hope that you find a solution to the Milia near your eyes.0 -

S&G face soap & clarity - wnba as I did not like the smell or texture of this product.
I also was stopped in my attempt to get some magazine freebies as wh smith has closed in Northern Ireland so no glamour freebie and our copy of red does not come with a freebie eithersuppose I do not need them but it is an easy way of trying some different products.
Oh I love face soap & clarity, esp the smell!!
Thats rubbish that you dont get the freebies in NI. On the subject of Glamour mag, did anyone else buy it from WH Smiths this month? I checked my receipt last night when I was doing my spending diary and I was only charged £1 per copy! If I'd realised that, I'd have bought a third one, grrrr. I think it was a mistake though.0 -
Hello, I hope you all had a nice bank holiday weekend. Wondercollie, sorry that things are difficult for you at home. I think we've all wanted to punch our other halves at times.
I've got some UUs. Well excited. The monstrous stash basket is looking much better and the 'fill level' is below the rim for the first time ever. If it was a skip, and it's nearly as big as one, the hire company would have refused to take it away before.
Supersoft 'straight and glossy' conditioner. God bless Poundworld. This was pretty good actually, nice and rich, WBA.
Superdrug vitamin E body scrub. Was brilliant, my HG body scrub. WBA as soon as have finished BS Shea scrub which is the last in the stash.
French connection 'bathroom' perfume. This is my work perfume and lives on my desk. It's gorge but I'm giving it a bit of a rest. I'm going to UU a bottle of Anais Anais I had for Christmas from one of my aunties. Haven't had this since I was a teenager so smelling it makes me feel young and giddy.
Garnier summer body gradual tan body lotion. Bought 5 bottles of it from Poundworld last summer (yes, FIVE) before I saw the light and found this thread. Anyway it is great and I WBA (in 2017 when stash used up).
Keep up the good work everybody. Resisted some temptation at church fete on Sunday. As well as the usual stalls (I get very excited by fairy cakes and second hand paperbacks cos I'm a bit pathetic like that) the bric a brac stall had an unopened bottle of Givenchy Amarige for £3 or something. I used to use this in the 1990s and liked it then so was tempted to buy it but thought, "no! Stick with your HG perfumes and stop piling more in!". Quite proud of myself.0 -

Wow! Congratulations
That's an amazing total for four months :T:T:T0 -
I think there's about 15 page to catch up since I was last here but I do have 1 UU - Tesco Cleansing wipes from my gym bag.
WBA as good value when they're about 30p but currently Tesco have almost tripled the price :mad:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0
