I suspect you'll find that most of the accounts offering contactless cards issue them "subect to status" ie to people over 18 who are deemed credit-worthy. Both o2 and orange have products offering contactless cards, however I think they stipulate a minimum age of 16.0

Hi there.
I am 15 and have 2 current accounts running with HSBC and Lloyds at this time. I am looking for a current account available for my age that will provide me with a Contactless card.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
If you have a Lloyds TSB Under 19s account you might possibly have a VISA debit card which is allowed for that account and your age. The good news is that Lloyds TSB are starting to roll out contactless debit cards and are allowing account holders to request one. So the best place might be your own bank.

No offense, maybe Im just getting old but why would such a fuss be made over whether a card is contactless or not?
Other than saving a few seconds in typing a PIN (and you'd still need to do this for purchases over £15(?) ) is there some other advantage Im not aware of?0 -
