I took it easy today between cleaning. I cleaned the sink then sat down then cleaned the bath then sat down etc. so it wasn't too bad - did take me most of the day though but the house looks fab
OK got a moneysaving dilemma for you all and wondered what you would do....
My darling husband has requested a Christmas present.
It costs £38.50 on Amazon (I have £45 in vouchers).
It costs £33.50 on Tesco with a code (I have no vouchers).
Do I pay the extra £5 and use my vouchers on Amazon thereby spending no real money on the game or do I cough up £33.50 of real cash?
I'm never sure what to do in this situation. Would be interested to hear your thoughts?0 -
Cough up the cash
When is bubba due - sounds like you're nesting.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Im for Cough up cash too. You will find some other bargain for voucher.
I remember painting shed when on Mat leave with DD1 and my dad popped round and was most concerned that I was fully stretched out on top of step ladder.
Very impressive list.
I buy the 24 toilet rolls but only lasts a week as have 3 girls:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:actually Im not joking!! DD2 literally wraps it fifty times round her hand before using! If i bought annually there would be nowhere for us to sleep.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Evening Ammonite, I sense mega nesting going on. Take it easy :dance:
I am feeling guilty as my lists are so short - get through week, visit hospital, sleep :T
When is the baby due?

I dont think I believed in nesting until today! Baby due before Christmas (hopefully!!!!!!) I don't believe the dates they gave me so I've been very vague about it to people so I don't get a million texts and calls asking for news
Tilly - You don't have to feel guilty about anything. Hospital visiting takes up more time than people realise, particularly if it is daily. Hope all is well
HDK - OMG that is some amount of loo roll!!!!!!
Interesting that you all say cough up the cash. I would usually do this but this was the first time I had considered paying more and using the voucher. Incidentally I found a third option which ended up being £24 so I paid cashGood to know what you all think though!
Pretty shattered now so will head off to bed.0 -
£5.14 payment that I'd forgotten about from Ciao this morning, another one for the house fund. Still waiting impatiently for my £40 from OnePoll!
Another £17 profit from eBay last night and another 13 ending tonight, 8 of which will sell. Fairly happy with the prices.
Wishing the days away until payday - it's terrible to wish your life away so you can do the best money shuffle of the month!!0 -
I'd cough up the cash unless:
a - I had a more pressing need for cash OR
b - I rarely used Amazon vouchers for anything so would be unlikely to use them for anything more useful in the next few months. If they are purely for treats, then I'd use them for this sort of spend as it saves you wasting your real cash.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Thanks Katsu, I need every bit of real cash at the moment which is probably why I would have used the vouchers even though the item was more expensive. Good to see what others would have done
Much more relaxing day for me today visiting friends and generally having a good time. I scrubbed another couple of items off my list.
Approximately another £70 profit from eBay tonightReally pleased with how it has done and it has set me up nicely with a fund for next year's Christmas and Birthday buying
Got a few more minor items to list but won't make more than about £30 I shouldn't have thought.
Absolutely shattered today - already fell asleep twice and its only half eight. Perhaps I need an early night?!
Tomorrow I will be chasing up refunds and blitzing the kitchen, it isn't too bad so shouldn't take too long (she says hopefully!).
Hope all are well0 -
I'm cleaning and tidying mad. I recently explained nesting to OH and he just looked really fearful as to what I might!!! Take it easy Ammonite. xMFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

Absolutely no MFW news, just 2 more sleeps until payday and then I can shuffle some more money and see if I can make my Savings target for the year. Need £400 more and NO dipping into the savings to hit the target ( approx. 3.55 times my original target that I made in April I might add) - all depends on how cheap December will be! Won't be too harsh on myself if we don't make the nice round number but I'd like to
