We had considered moving house but can't justify the extra £100k on top of our current mortgage. It would be just like starting all over again after 7 years which isn't what we want.

Some of our money this year will go towards extending the house so while the 10% overpay each year will be fine to manage, how we are going to manage to save for the lump sum by January 2018 (approx. £10k) will be the big struggle.

We are already very frugal, I'm an excellent bargain hunter, sale shopper etc. I eBay regularly, do cashback and our only real luxury all year is our holiday which I'm loathed to go without as hubby works long hours and looks forward to our treat. We spend about £2k on that each year so while not cheap, it's not wild when you consider we barely go out and if we do, we generally go on cheap/free days out.

Any suggestions for things I haven't considered which could help us save our extra £10k?
