No more adpoints since - I've been checking :)

Really pleased with Consumer Pulse (thanks to Unhappy Shopper for letting me know about it :)) - just ordered my first £10 voucher from Argos. Hopefully the points stack up as quickly next time too!

    Summary of loyalty points/vouchers:

    Nectar: £13.37
Amazon: £23.27 (+ waiting for £10 in the post)
    DooYoo: 14731/50000
Argos: (waiting for £10 in post)
    Ciao: £3.41
    Boots: £100.05

Also got about £12 Quidco due to be paid this week, going directly into the house fund. In fact, all spare cash is going directly to the house fund. This will probably be the case for December and January money too.

Get to do the money shuffle again today as it is payday number 2 :) I don't think the house fund covers the amount we need to pay out in December but I shall hold my breath in the hope we don't have to dip into the ISA!

First job of the day is to do the walkthrough of the house contents to make sure we are adequately insured for contents. Second job is to renew the insurance :)

    Have a good day y'all !

Seconded :T:T:T:T. Although not as advanced as you - obviously haven't bought as much ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Well I'm like the Queen and have 2 birthdays ;) So double free cash?! What do they give you as a bonus MRN?

Gally - I have bought quite a bit lately yep mainly xmas presents and baby bits. They do mount up quickly even though we got the welcome bonusy thing- I'm surprised I didn't know about it already. Good old Unhappy_Shopper :D

Struggling with house insurance at the moment, the premium seems to be much higher this year and I'm not sure why, I think I might ring them up and speak to someone to make sure I'm properly covered. Interestingly I did the walkthrough of contents to ensure we had adequate contents, I overestimated and added a bit - we were still around 15k under-insured so its worth doing if you haven't already checked if you have enough contents cover.

In non-MFW news I have just broke out the Xmas cards to find the gorgeous packet I bought a while back to use this year with The Snowman on it has "Woodland trust recycled blah-de-blah in 2008" - which is very nice but I now can't really use them as it is almost 2013!!!!!! Serves me right for being tight in the first place. I know I've got another stash of cards somewhere but the old brain cannot remember where they are stashed :/ I foresee no-one getting a card this year!!!

The points are given on a month-by-month basis at CP - so try to submit 20 items before Nov. finishes, yep by Friday.

Ammonite, did you do price comparison quotes through £co/TCB? If so, you can get CB for the quotes as well as later on for purchasing the home insurance.

Tomorrow I'm going to Boots to get the extra points from the Christmas event.

I did go through Quidco for the comparisons thanks US - might have gone through GoCompare three times ;)

I think I've done my 20 item quota - good to know that is all they will pay out for though thanks :)

£17 on DY :D Aiming for £50 by the end of January (trying to be realistic!)

Waiting on £40 from Onepoll payout - wonder if it will take as long to pay out as it did to accumulate?! ;)

Sold a couple of things on Facebook selling page so approx. profit of £30 which will be going into next year's present fund (which is doing really well I might add :D - may not even need to do monthly savings for that which would be a huge help for next year's budget).

There is a VAGUEpossibility that we won't need to dip into savings for the work on the house this month which would be amazing but I'm not getting too excited. We may need to dip in next month but only for a fraction of the amount I had thought we would.

Very pleased with our good budgeting at the moment :)

    STOP PRESS!

    Major MFW news from me!!!!

I PUT MONEY INTO THE ACTUAL MORTGAGE/SAVINGS POT TODAY!!!!!

    A whole.....*drumroll*

£10 :D £5.92 in interest and £4.08 topped up from our bank account as I can't bear the odd number.

lol! poor bank account has wondered what has happened to it, it hasn't been fed for weeks! Actually that is a massive lie, I had the house insurance money saved up in there and decided to leave it in there for the moment and pay the house insurance from other cash so I don't have to disturb the ISA so I've actually put £230 in the savings pot too.

10.05% of the mortgage in savings now. Started off 7 months ago with 4.54% of the mortgage in savings :)

OK no more news please return to whatever you were doing before I interrupted :D
