    Hi all,

My last £10 Amazon voucher turned up (finally). £45 in the pot there to be spent on items as and when I need them next year.

I keep thinking I've finished finding eBay stuff but then I find another pile so have to list them sometime this weekend.

Also sold another item with £15 profit so have put that into the house fund rather than the next year's present fund.

Got 21 items still listed, 9 will sell, fairly happy with prices, watchers on lots of the other stuff - still 3-8 days to go for it all though so will hopefully make another few quid on that stuff.

£7 on DY - Decided I don't have the motivation to try for another £20 Amazon in time for Xmas (level 1 categories are a bit random and I don't have many of the items in them) so will just start plugging away to get the cash payout of £50 and aim for sometime in the new year for that.

Done 90 points on adpoints and have no more ads to watch  Hope a few appear before Sunday night.

Spent another £16 on food today.

Still no petrol spends :j What a joy that is!

Think we are going to have to break into my beloved ISA to pay the next lot of work on the house bills :( I can't bear to see the savings/overpay fund go down but needs must and we knew that if we wanted all the work doing we'd have to break into it at some point, we've done brilliantly not to do that so far. If we had a very frugal December (unlikely!) then we might be able to pay without breaking into the ISA but realistically my poor old savings pot will be going only one way.

    Hi Ammonite :)

Dont be too hard on yourself re: the savings. If you hadn't been working on the MFW stuff it would have done that way before! You are doing brilliantly and I'm sure you will be able to get things back on track (as you see it) soon

Re: Adpoints - I've only got about 150 points myself this week. Logged in every day and nothing new since Monday :( Oh well better than nothing right

    Have a great weekend

    :) BW
  • BW - have you clicked on all the websites? I click then click back to adpoints, once its opened site, I just click off. Have now got nothing left to add but am at 204 points.

  • Hi Ammonite....seems small fry compared to your Ebay efforts but I found unwanted 3 items too good for the car boot pile so going to list this evening!

Thanks BookWorm, I know you are right, I've just been so pleased with not having to use our savings so far! Who knows we might surprise ourselves again.

MRN - Anything is good for eBaying! I sometimes put a few small fry items on that I think will go for pennies, even though they do go for a small amount, it helps to cover the cost of Paypal and eBay fees of the bigger items so are worth listing instead of binning. Good luck hope you get lots of bidders.

Adpoints - 90 was all I managed this week. Bit disappointing but as BookWorm says...better than nothing! :)

    My money news:

Currently have 21 items listed on eBay, 9 will sell, fair few with watchers. Mostly end tomorrow. No DY done but will try and get to £10 this week on there, I've slacked off for 10 days but no excuses now must get back on the wagon! On £11.27 in Nectar points at the moment, mostly from Adpoints and a few from some Amazon shopping.

I have done the weekly money shuffle - pay day at the end of this week too hurrah! We will definitely not need to spend the petrol money which is great so that can go into the house fund. Need an electricty top up so will use the £10 I had hoped to save - its still cheaper to use more electric than paying for petrol!

We also have enough cleaning supplies, loo roll, kitchen roll, washing powder & fabric softener to last until at least the end of January, potentially beyond. Freezer is also fairly full, may need a small meat shop to fill it up properly before bambino arrives. <-- All of this means I need to be very restricted if I step foot in Costco!

No food shopping now until payday with the potential exception of milk.

Once I've got a few refunds back on my card that is both of the cards paid up in full with the exception of the bit of the house renovation we've paid for which is fine as it is 0% for the moment. All Christmas, food, clothings, social etc etc completely paid off. Love this feeling! Looking forward to getting my reward points on that card this month, the amount I've spent on it...the reward should be good!!

Just reading back on Tilly's thread about her secret end of year goal. Mine is not so secret, I need £400 and no dipping into savings to get a nice round number in my bank account which I will be so very happy about. Might have to have a play around with spreadsheets and see if I could manage that based on this month's and next month's wages (paid early in December which I totally forgot about!). Will let you know! (I'm sure you are all on the edge of your seats :rotfl::rotfl:)

OK my to do list this week (not MFW at all but really helps! Red is done :)):

    - list the bag of stuff I found for eBay.
    - One load of washing
    - One load of ironing
    - Clean the bathroom
    - Clean the small toilet
    - Scrub the kitchen floor

    - Dust downstairs
    - Hoover downstairs
    - Dust upstairs
    - Hoover upstairs

    - Put the washing away
    - Buy voucher for birthday present
    - Claim refund from D'hams
    - Claim refund from Boots
    - Claim refund from local shop
    - Clean cooker
    - Clean fridge
    - Write birthday cards for November/December
    - Check all birthday presents are wrapped for November/December
    - Sort out birthday cards for January
    - Top up electricity

    - Sort out bedside drawer
    - Wash the bedsheets
    - Do some more work on photobook
    - Change the bed
    - Move bed and hoover underneath it (will be getting help with this don't panic!)

P.S. - This is the weekly list don't worry I won't be doing it all in one go!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I of course do buy this from Costco too but don't have enough room to store it annually. I have to go quarterly, though a friend saw my stash recently and laughed (quite meanly!) at how ridiculous it was and said they just bought a pack of 4 each week at the supermarket.

I was silently laughing (equally meanly!) at how much more that must cost her compared to my bulk buying. :rotfl:
