Website is hard to navigate, they hardly had anything I wanted or the things I wanted weren't as cheap as other places and I can't see me shopping there again to be totally honest, I only did it because the baby things were the cheapest. However, for a first shop with the £20 off I guess it isn't a bad deal to stock up on cupboard type items0

I've never supermarket shopped online - it's the fear. And secretly I quite like a bit of trolly rage every fortnight!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

The trick to using 0cado is buying Waitrose special offers like the current 3-for-2 on cereals, cleaning etc. and making use of their Tesc0-matched-prices for branded items. They send you a free bottle of wine with your further orders though. I used them when they had the £co promotion earlier this year and found them so very helpful.Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

Right, Oc@do shop complete. Everything in the basket is an offer and is long lasting so thank you Ike@ for sending me a catalogue with a voucher, giving me 25% off.

Sorry for making you spend money Tilly
MRN - I like shopping online more than going to the shop. I only shop online if I have a discount voucher (not very often) or it is free delivery though (not very often). I tend to keep to my budget better but equally can't always find everything I need.
unhappy_shopper - I noticed they sold Waitrose stuff which is interesting as we don't have any Waitrose at all around us. Most of my basket was baby stuff and Tesco price match stuff I agree.
Feeling really strapped for cash at the momentRoll on Payday! (Wishing my life away here!).

Ocado delivered last night and I can't complain, everything was there, the driver was absolutely lovely, the shopping bags are nice and sturdy and he called up to ask if he could deliver early....yes please!
Right off to do a review...I'm really out of the habit and it is just laziness!0 -
Hello,
I joined DooYoo yesterday and was just wondering how long it took you to reach the first cashout amount and how many reviews a day did you do? What value is the first cashout voucher?
I'm trying to decide if it's worth spending the time on it!Slow progress is better than no progress.

My advice would be sign up, write one review and leave it a month. It takes a month for the "new member" sticker to be removed from your profile. You'll find when you are no longer a "new member" people will rate your reviews more. So any you write in the next few weeks might only get 10 rates which don't add up to much. New members write such poor reviews and don't often rate back so I know I don't bother with them until they have at least got rid of the new member badge.
If you want people to rate your reviews then you have to rate back. You also have to write decent reviews. My first few are really poor but now I've got the hang of it, I reckon I spend about 15 minutes writing a review and about 5-10 minutes rating reviews. It is worth writing decent reviews in the first place, it might take you a wee while at first. I have fits and starts, some days I spend the time each day, then I fall off the wagon and find it hard to get back to. If I did it daily for ~30mins, I think I could get to about £50 in about 5 weeks. You only need £20 for payout in Amazon vouchers though.
The key is to become known, have a profile picture and rate as many reviews as you get rates for. I have around 9000 rates and I've rated around 8800 - people will rate you if they know you'll rate them back.
The other top tip is just post one review per day to start with, when you get a bit more "respected" you can post probably 2 per day. People don't like seeing the site flooded with short poor quality reviews, especially from newbies. Don't know why?!
Finally, the categories are different for different points, review of a mars bar is worth 100 points, review of an oven is worth 600 points as you need more information in it, so depends how many 600 point reviews you can do. I try and do 300 point reviews where possible.
It does seem time consuming to start with but its just part of my routine now.
Hope this helps0 -
Thank you for taking the time to write such a long reply! That was really helpful advice, especially about waiting for my newby badge to be removed, I think some members felt it their duty to put me in my place!Slow progress is better than no progress.

No problem - if you want to PM my your dooyoo name I'll have a look at your reviews and try and offer some advice - its not easy to start with but worth it once you get into it.0
