wombling in tesco - what's safe

What ridiculous tangent has MarkyMarkD sent this thread off on by not reading my post properly?
The Tesco 5p off a Litre is not a points coupon. I clearly stated this in my last post, it gives the user MONEY OFF just like a Daz coupon does.
I will say it again. It's a money-off coupon. These have nothing to do with points, even non-clubcard holders get them. They are produced for anyone who spends over £50 at the till, during a promotion.
Whereas a Daz coupon is a 50p off coupon, given on the inside of a box of Daz for anyone who buys Daz, during a promotion.
The difference being, if used by someone who picks up a discarded one??? None.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I work at Tesco's on the CSD and have known about womblers/wombling for a long time. However after reading this thread and the debates on here i think im going mad, everyone that wants points adding on i keep wanting to ask if theyre a wombler or genuine!!!!! I have known a few womblers in my time and we have a few people in our store who can no longer have points added anymore!!!
Just make a note of their clubcard number and check their records to see if they are called Tobermory or Uncle Bulgaria.:D
out of interest Hales. (I sound like Becky from Corrie now) these people banned from putting points on, how many did they have put on before they were banned? What scale I mean, a few a day, several a week, what?I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -

If I found a 'used' receipt, I would put it in the bin, not on the floor...
If it was not 'used' I would put it in my pocket...
The recycling bin, I hope?!;)
Followed by the one in your pocket once the points are on your account:D
Now that worries me far more than who has wombled what!I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -

Seriously it's brightening up my day thinking are they womblers or aren't they!!
They varied but we had one guy that came in twice a day, every day!! after a month we stopped him. Another came every night and we knew he was wombling, eventually we caught him picking reciepts up so banned him from having points added at the desk, even when he forgot to put his card thru at the till and i saw him walk straight from the till to the desk!! :rotfl:Official DribblerThis is the year to #getfit0 -

Completely irrelevant to the general subject of wombling, though, (so I'm not sure why that was me taking the thread off at a tangent ) but glad to clear it up if it bothers you.
Coupon-mad and Afur You really do make me sad. Now you are proud to defraud the Royal Mail, which is state-owned and hence indirectly you are defrauding me and everyone else who pays taxes.
I have to wonder whether your morality really does boil down to "I'll do anything I like as long as I won't get caught".0 -
To all of the holier than thous that have posted on this thread about how unethical it is to womble, I make a solemn promise I will give up my errant ways and never womble again, I will never do anything to attain an advantage from Tesco ever again, on condition that Tesco never overcharge me for anything, on condition that Tesco never mislead me on their pricing in any way, I am sure you will agree that is fair.
I am amazed how many individuals will put so much effort into defending the actions of a large corporation, but will not defend their own right to not be ripped off by large companies such as Tesco, people like that are sheep, brainwashed into being good little citizens and never stopping to question when they are being taken advantage of.0
