Who Gets The Ring?

Rings are usually worth far less if you try to sell them second hand. Unless it was an absolute rock I doubt you'll be talking about a small fortune here and certainly nothing worth getting into a battle about when you have far more important things to think about ie your child.
When my husband and I split I threw all my rings at him - none were worth a lot. But then for some reason I asked for them back, I think it felt like it was one thing I could have some control over after having had no say at all in the split up.
I binned the wedding ring - felt quite cathartic doing that
But I still have the engagement and eternity (yeah right!) rings simply as I quite like them. I'm long enough over the emotional stuff now and I can view them as just dress rings - theyre sapphire and diamond and not particularly flashy so you'd not see them and assume they had to be engagement/eternity.
My emotional feeling to any rings goes to what I wear on my left hand now with new hubby

If it had no monetry value then what would you do?
Ask if he'd be happy if you sold it and split the money. Or put it in a savings account for you son.
It's just a ring, it means nothing and isn't worth fighting over.0
