I consider myself to be a half vegan, full time veggie. :-) Co2 stats alone could make anyone change their minds about eating animal products.0

Have been veggie for 30 years and have been eating more and more vegan food.
A really good book is Chloe's Kitchen 7.92 on Amazon ( sorry can't do links). We have just tucked into her macaroni cheese and it is lovely:D0 -
vegan for 20+ years, veggie for around 8 years before that... and yet i'm only 21 *cough39*
folk thinking of going vegan... vegan cheese is edible now and doesn't taste of socks. it was vile when i was young, but has improved drastically since, so head down to your local Holland & Barrett and get yourself some grated mozzarella type vegan cheese!! YUM!
My tip for chocolate is 'Choices Caramel Chocolates' by CelticChocolates.EU they are scrummy.
Obviously Swedish Glace for ice cream and alpro for cream and milk.
eggs aren't necessary for anything as cakes can all be made without (unless we're talking meringue).
ta-da!

This thread is specifically for discussing a recipe etc. NOT the so called merits of being a vegan.
See post #600

Yes I am vegan, have been for 8-9 months now as has OH, I'd say we made the switch 60% for health reasons 40% for ethical. I don't like vegusto tastes too much like cheesy quavers to me. I like the jeezini/violife slices for sandwiches and the montenaro vegourmet cheese for cooking and melting purposes xx0

I was mostly vegan before I fell pregnant and then I found that anything vegan related (vegetables, tofu, rice milk etc) made me vomit and all I really wanted was eggs, milk and mcdonalds French fries in the first few months. I still can't eat tofu and I was obsessed with the stuff before.
I tried lots of vegan products but not a fan of the processed stuff like sheese. I love moo free chocolate.
I am slowly getting back to my veggie and vegan ways. Really keen to give up dairy again as I believe it's incredibly bad for you and don't want baby to have any in her system when she comes out.
Love seeing so many vegans here and I salute you all. Can't wait to rejoin the ranks. :j0
