Another vegan festival coming up in October, in Wolverhampton: http://www.veganmidlands.org.uk/festival/home.html. I didn't go last year because I was super pregnant, but I heard that it was wonderful. The London and Bristol fairs we've been too always have lots of samples and good deals too.

Also, if you're looking for a more veggie-focused board, you might try https://www.veggieviews.com. It's a relatively new board, but there's a small UK contingent and it's a good place to ask advice about where to find products and/or nutritional info, etc.

On Tesco, our superstore nearby has most of the products in the new range (if not all). We don't shop there, but I went one day, early in the morning when baby wasn't sleeping and scoped out what was available out of curiosity.

  • Hello everyone,

Hope you're keeping warm on these chilly days.
I would like to ask if anybody would be happy to offer their wonderful abilities in massage, reiki etc, and donate their time to an event on the 25th Nov?
It would be entirely up to you how long you wish to stay for, the event is on from 10.30 til 4 and is an a school in Holloway.
We hope to have Vegan food, treatments, yoga classes and eco minded film screenings and are looking for people who can help cook and bring vegan food to the event and those who can offer treatments.
The entire thing is FREE and run by volunteers so you will be contributing just for the love of it!
    It's all about community sharing.
I'll be posting the event details soon so hope that some of
you might be able to come along.

If you can offer a treatment or make some vegan food for the event
    please get in touch.

    Thanks Everyone.

    hi :)

just worked out that I have been vegan for 28 years.

I was veggie for 2 years before that from age 16. My mum would not let me become vegan while I lived at home so I "upgraded" overnight when I left for Uni at 18 ;)
    (she later become veggie though).

  • my husband is a vegan, and im kinda like it also. :)
  • Tescos now do vegan cheese (mild and medium), vegan yoghurts, vegan chocolate milkshake type dessert, lots more different types of alt milks. Vegan creme caramel, etc. About damn time. I have some of the cheese in the fridge, not tried it yet though. I've been put off the caramel thing because I happened to puke it up since something else made me sick. It was nice though. And I really like the chocolate dessert drink thingies. You'll find all these in the refridgerated milk section.

I love some of the Tesco range, it's not very money saving but I do buy the mild soya cheese a couple of times a month.:D

I am trying to keep my grocery costs down at the moment and I'm determined to cook more from scratch. Vegan food can be very cheap if you bulk buy red lentils, value rice and pasta, get a big bag of spuds and tinned beans.:)
  • I'm a vegan and so is the Mrs. :j

It's nice that there's lots of vegans on the MSE forums :D
  • I am not. Me 110% non vegrns
