Keep Calm Keep Vegan:):staradmin
year's food budget £1,9200 -
I'm veggie and once we have eaten all the dairy based stuff in the freezer (100% do not believe in waste) I am hoping to take the leap to a vegan lifestyle. Tried making vegan cupcakes yesterday and was incredibly happy with the outcome considering I made up the recipe. I love a good slice o' cake so it is good to know I won't be missing out!0

Nice one
In my opinion vegan baking is a lot easier than non-vegan. Never tasted any vegan cakes/noms that tasted bad!0 -

Decided to treat myself and order a vegan baking book to learn some new tricks too! Exciting. This could just be a terrible excuse to bake/eat a whole load of goodies...0 -

I have been vegetarian for 20 plus years and I want to become a vegan. Can anyone recommend good vegan cheeses.
It's making me really hungry all this talk of cupcakes!0 -
I should add I've just bought and tried cheezly and found it quite an odd grainy texture. Shreese I found a lot better. Any more tips gladly received.
Thanks0 -
Hi,
I think you mean 'Sheese' not 'Shreese':)
Quote from post before last one:'I have been vegetarian for 20 plus years and I want to become a vegan. Can anyone recommend good vegan cheeses.'
There is a vegan cheese by 'Vegusto' ,actually they sell a whole range of cheeses and vegan products but the really good one they sell is called 'No-moo Piquant'.It is absolutely amazing, everyone I know who has tried it thinks it's amazing.
As far as I know they are mainly only available to buy over the internet (just search for 'vegusto') but having said that one of the health shops where I live stocks it but I think it is only because there is a high demand and it might be quite rare for it to be in a shop(not that sure)
It is £5 for a pack though,so not that cheap-it's really nice!
Maybe you could look out for it.0 -
