Been a good girl and made up with some MSE ways
*done my 3 survey sites
-1 is up to £9.50
-1 is up to £5
-1 is up to 70 points (have no idea what this means but i get regular payments usually :rotfl:)
*signed up to an extra survey for my phone, all I have to do is buy wine 3 times or more and I qualify, can't see this being a problem :rotfl:
*decided to watch an old film instead of Blockbusters rental (DH is on a spending mission I swear it *rolls eyes*)
Tomorrow I need to clean the house and iron all the uniforms for the week. Should be a pretty easy day (i hope) as i'm so tired and have no energy so can't do too much. Am hoping to bribe dh into taking the kids out for a dog walk or similar as I can do so much more without them under my feet

Nah, it's not all it's cracked up to be. I really miss a good frosty morning, and just seasonal changes in general. Been nearing 40 (100+F) this week, I don't have aircon at work so it's pretty miserable0 -

This is DH'd dream.....he is desperate to move to (south) America but i'm not so sure :undecided although it has to be said I do agree with the sun far more than the cold....BUT you wait till it gets too hot I will no doubt complain then too :rotfl:Dragonista wrote: »Nah, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Hello Dragonista  do you mind me asking where you live? Did you used to live in old Blighty then with it's random weather :cool:pennywisepoundstupid wrote: »Wow that's hot.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Morning all
what a lovely day :j I'm feeling more like 'me' again now too not sure if it is the tablets (can they work that quick?) or if it's just 'that time' has now passed until next month :rotfl: but whatever it is the cloud has lifted, metaphorically speaking and literally (outside yay) :T
Today will be a NSD :j and I'm going to be putting a plan together over the next few days on how to get my savings back up to scratch as they have all but been depleted! Major spends I need to factor in will be 2x kids birthdays in July, dog's injections are due next month, MOT is due in August, umm I would also like to put some spending money away for holidays in August so I can afford ice cream and a few days out  so will set to it and be back with a hopeful plan :rotfl:
After reading Alice's diary and also umming and ahhing over it myself I am going to try the local (ish) farm shop too :T AFTER having used my te$co voucher i got on the last shopand perhaps after my sainsbug one too :rotfl: I will get there....one day!
Whilst writing this have also been on ebay, so the NSD is scrappedi ordered a tablet for my mums birthday. Am splitting the cost 3 ways so worked out to £17.25 each so not too bad but i've paid for it until my 2 sisters pay up! Although I owe one sister £20 for paintballing that ds1 and dh are doing at the end of the month for my sisters birthday so I think i will just say to her i'll give you the couple of quid on the day and we'll call it quits! Oh well, i nearly made it to a nsd :rotfl: (this was a planned expense anyway i can't be missing my dear old mother's big day
)
Right well i'm just warbling on now and trying to chat to my sister, a friend (on messenger) and type this lol i think i will just come back later when i'm a little more focussed
Jobs for today are-
get as much blooming washing done as possible the basket it overflowing!
cook the gammon to slice for sandwiches for the rest of the week
iron uniforms
already hoovered upstairs and down and cleaned bathroom and also kitchen so not much else to do apart from the aboveMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Evening, I hope you've all had a good Bank Holiday :j
Sun was supposed to be shining here all day. It didn't (surprised? Nope!). But it didn't rain either so that was good enough, it got the washing dry
I've cooked the gammon and thinly sliced ready for sandwiches during the week for kids lunches (much cheaper than buying the processed sliced ham!) I also cooked a yummy dinner which the kids actually ate without moaning ->> Bonus! :T
3 loads of washing done and 2 dried. Last one will stay out overnight as we're not forecast any rainNot done too well on the healthy eating front today so must get back onto that tomorrow! Also want to start back at the gym
I keep putting off painting the furniture me and a friend bought I don't want to mess it up I think is what's stopping me :undecided. But it's doing no one any good (nor making any money) sat in my front room :rotfl: so I must set some time aside this week to finish a few bits
Right I am owed this tenancy money, by the time she pays up I should be getting £1050 so today I sat down and allocated it to where it needed to be (unfortunately I didn't get as far as the handbag fund or the holiday fund ) so this is where it will be going:
*Car Tax- £50 (this is 2 months worth that I haven't paid because the budget was not all there)
*Dog Jabs- £120 (i can't remember the exact amount so I have estimated high end and whatever is left can go to his fund for grooming and food)
*My friend- £110
*Savings pot that i raided- £270
*Christmas fund- £180
*DD & DS2 birthday presents & party- £170
this leaves- £150 which is unallocated atm, am hoping I don't need it for the monthly budget so I can buy kids some new summer clothes especially ds1 who is squeezed into his clothes atmbut we shall I see I may need it.
DH has also told me he can apply for his 6 year bonus in June/July :T after tax it's not a great amount but we should still clear £1500 or so. I've asked him if he would mind using it for debt, and if so I am wondering if we can get rid of B@rclaycard (his debt) which is the only one charging us interest currently. Then this would also take our debt down greatly as most of the others are relatively small debt just spread across a lot of creditorsso would be easier to pick off one by one. I know stepchange doesn't like this, but i'm willing to go it alone now just so I can get rid of the debt in the best way for us! What do you all think???
Right will leave it there as dh out of bath and we're watching somethingbe back tomorrow! :A

Afternoon all,
Well i'm feeling really lazy today, and i'm quietly willing the week away until i get my hands on some money to pay the billsI just went to the gym in an effort to be unlazy and was turned away so not my fault really I guess it's supposed to be
Paid £90 into my bank today from dh. Then went to @sda to get weekly fresh stuff and spent £37. Also popped to homebargains and got a few bits i needed, whilst i was there I noticed that they are opening a nice big iceland there which will be quite handy as it's right near to @sda :T The other 2 we have aren't really accessible for me so I always ignore them (one you have to pay astronomical parking fee and the other is in the opposite direction of where i usually go for shopping!) so looking forward to July for that(yes i realise how sad I am
)
Bread flour arrived today :j 25kg of it  I am hoping this lasts at least 2 months  as it cost £25! But it's good stuff, organic and wholemeal (aren't I being good) Now to make the bread though! I am thinking of making 3 or 4 loaves at once and freezing some might be a bit easier because making bread is right down there with cleaning the loo in my books
Am only making the effort as it's better for me and tastes nicer, oh and is cheaper of course :money:;)
Right anyway nothing else to say, so i'm off for a cuppa with my feet up and catch up on superscrimpersMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
