Wow you should be all set for food next month. I am like you and have been using all of the odds and ends up this months and next month is going to expensive as it will all need replacing. We saw the veggie toys yesterday and my lot wanted them - there was a carrot - but as i only spend the odd few pounds there each month i would never have got any of the vouchers so said no. I spent 48p on mushrooms - dont think that would be of much use :)

Anyway i hope you are enjoying your cider - your sanity is definately worth the expense - i have chocolate :)

Oh I think it was an essential :rotfl: I suppose it does benefit the child though if the mother is too comatose to shout at them ;) (don't worry I didn't have nearly enough money to buy enough cider to get that drunk :rotfl:)

  • Morning! I went out last night so didn't have a chance to update! I spent waaaaay too much yesterday but I went through the receipts and actually there was only a few things that weren't essentials (such as the mcdonald's for breakfast, and then the, ahem, mcdonalds for lunch :o ) I bought myself some flipflops and sunglasses in one shop (total spend £26) some kitchen utensils to replace old broken one, mixing bowl and a bin in one shop (£22!) got £90 of petrol some gym clothes in @sda (£12) and DD a sun hat and sun cream (£10) Money just disappears! Now have to wait till the end of the month for the next payday :rotfl:

I went to the boot fair today and took the dog and ds2 and omg it was hard work! Dog was trying to knock all the tables down, ds2 kept disappearing (am re-naming him houdini) and I was trying to look at stuff. Kind of gave up half way round and ended up just having a morning where the dog was socialising with everyone and I had one hand on ds2's collar the whole time to watch him. Am thinking of getting him a dog collar too, he's worse than the dog for running off!

Checked my bank this morning and am down to £0.01 on the balance .............one day after payday :( !!! Have got lots of food in though, 2 freezers rammed, enough weetabix to feed the 5 thousand (accidently ordered 6 boxes of 48 oops!) so am hoping don't need to spend tonnes each week now on food to keep stocked up! DH still has money in his bank and he is due back either tomorrow or Friday so I will try and get some money from him! Some bills are on hold for the second month running whilst I await the tenancy money. So need to catch them up when she finally pays me! I really need to write them all down though as I will forget something otherwise!

Have a school May day Fair today so I guess I better get off here and go tidy up before I need to leave again! Hope everyone is well I haven't had a chance to read anyone's diaries the last couple of days :A

  • Afternoon all,

Well my new loaf tin is in the oven for a trial run :j got some brown bread baking. It's only a 2lb loaf, I wanted to see how it held up and I need to order some flour in now so I can do bigger loaves (I ran out of flour, so typical- so only had enough to do the 2lb instead of the 4lb loaf i'd intended!)

I checked my bank this morning and I'd actually ordered the te$co shop on MY card and not DH's card so no wonder I'd gone overdrawn this morning (only by £6)! So need to get dh to take some money out for me from his bank and put it in mine! Have a whole list of things that need to be paid for when tenant pays *rolls eyes* she had better pay up!

The weather is sunny here, clothes are drying nice and quickly but I am FREEZING!!! Am sat inside under a blanket with jumpers on  I think I might have a bit of a chill! Haven't been to gym all week as friend couldn't make it! I went at beginning of week and haven't been back since! Tut, tut! So i will make an effort and go tomorrow even if it is by myself!

My friend and I made a start on painting some of our furniture last night and it's looking good :D am happy with it so far!

So anyway today was a nsd (well it is so far..........) i'm hoping to get many more in this month perhaps i might set a challenge......hmm will think on it.

I received my tablets this morning EE so have already started taking them!!

Also received my lemon essential oil so will set to making some furniture polish with it some time this week! Whilst i'm on the subject of cleaning I have ditched the bleach finally from the house and *gasp* the toilet!! I now use a sprinkling of baking soda around the loo in the morning/last thing at night (whenever I know it will be left alone for 1/2 hour or so) and leave it. Then flush, whilst it is flushing i get the loo brush give it a clean and ta-da all sparkly and clean. I throw some white vinegar down after wards and that removes odours and also helps remove any stains/discolouring (i'm lucky my loo is relatively new so no problems with this really but just in case....prevention is key lol i hate a dirty loo!)

SO now I need to find somewhere to buy white vinegar and baking soda in bulk as these seem to be the main ingredients in my cleaning these days

Ta-ta for now hope you're all enjoying the sun!
