  • I'm having an up/down day today. I hate being a woman sometimes :( . Did i tell you all I was back and forth a few weeks/months ago to the hospital having all sorts of intrusive tests/scans and it turns out I had what I'd diagnosed myself with ....endometriosis (spelling?) they couldn't do anything for me as I refused the contraceptives they wanted to give me as i've had major side effects before :( so i suffer each and every month.

And this morning my poor ds1 made a little narky comment and that was it like a bull in a china shop :(:( I smashed 3 plates, made a dent in the kitchen cupboard, squashed the bread then threw it all over the floor, broke the dustpan and brush then spent half an hour sat in my room crying and wishing i were dead  don't worry I won't do anything silly the cloud has lifted for now. But it won't go until I come on and then finish my monthlies :( I hate it. Drs said I could have anti-depressants again but I really don't want to go down that route ESP as I am fine (normal) for the rest of the month!!! Hate hate hate it. And feel so guilty for going nuts in front of the kids this morning. Just wish i could remain normal all month. So not fair :(

Anyway moan over. for now :(

  • Right have done something productive, have tidied up and hoovered and sat and cuddled ds2 (other 2 at school) and the pup! Feeling much better, a cuddle is all you need sometimes eh.

I've £5 in my purse and I'm off to c0sta later with friend. I was moaning about the cost earlier this week but actually I think it's just the medicine i need now! A nice hot chocolate on this miserable day and a chinwag!

So a low spend day :)

Will make some bread (thank god I put some bread flour into my trolley) and all will be well again (aside from the fact I am mental!)

It's a miserable day here so i'm going to leave the washing for tomorrow as there is only half a basket of stuff anyway! I'm off to do the washing up now with my new recipe for WU liquid. Have a lovely day all :) xx

  • Morning all, well the day started much better today! I had a lie in till 8am :j and have decided on a lazy day as i very nearly am immobile :eek: i think 40 mins on the cross trainer was a crazy idea and i can barely move never mine walk far! Yesterday I was ok but today it's coming back to haunt me (or my thighs/legs to be exact) :rotfl: I also did 50 squats and 55 yesterday though i wonder if that was the cause  :rotfl:

Anyway today will be spent sorting out budget and meal planners and also thinking of a brand name for my new business venture/part-time hobby ;)

My friend & I decided against c0sta yesterday and instead drove to the sea side and found an old yard a bit like a boot fair but filled with furniture and spent £115  !! So we have some furniture, we've ordered some paint and we are going to do up some bits and see if they sell :T if they don't worse case scenario is that we end up losing £100 each and can split the furniture between us :rotfl: I've not yet told DH :o he's on a course. He will come home next week to a house that was already filled to the brim even more filled to the brim :D Money all came from friend who has paid for everything (i'm broke) and I told her that I will give her the money either pay day or when tenant pays :T so need to work that into budget (think I will just use the emergency funds)......so please feel free to tell us we're mad by doing this. We probably are! But i'm quietly praying that it will do well :)

Anyway so it was a planned nsd here but i've just run out of milk....may have to borrow a few quid from my ds1 :o and get some! Will try and just do without though....we can have herbal teas and toast for breakfast instead of normal tea and cereal?!?!

  • After trialling the washing up liquid and happy to say it works really well and after a day of using it (I do about 5-6 sink loads a day ) my hands are softer than when using f@iry (sorry wasn't there tag line....For hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with mild green Fairy Liquid) my hands felt like sand paper after using it for a month, pfft. Last time i believe the advertisers!!

So anyway the recipe if anyone wants it-

4 litres of boiling water then add-
1 tble spoon of soda crystals,
1 table spoon of soap flakes,
3 table spoons of white vinegar (this is what cuts through the grease I have upped it from original recipe as my are is hard water if yours is softer perhaps 2 tbls)

Give it a good old mix and wait for it to cool down.

Add 6 drops of essential oils- lemon or tea tree are both good for cleaning/ anti bacterial properties. I didn't have lemon so i added tea tree
I also added 6 drops of lavender so it smells nice ;)

I managed to fill up my old fairy bottle and also a bottle (size of wine) with a lid and still had some left. I don't need much of it. It doesn't have lots of bubbles like big brands but it, in my opinion, cleans just as well. It works out to pennies for 4 litres so is well worth doing.

Considering I would spend between £1-2 for a bottle every other month (sometimes more often) and it left my hands rough, dry and sore i feel it's a worthy thing to do in the name of saving money :money: and saving my hands!!! :D AND also again same as washing powder, there are no nasty chemicals left on our dishes nor my hands! hope it helps someone

NB I can't remember the website i got this from to link back, i wrote it down on some paper and didn't bookmark it! So if anyone knows feel free to let me know so people can visit them for more green money saving tips!
