  • Ugh! Just deleted a post. Try again!

Well had a busy morning! I took the dog for a walk after dropping dd off at school. I stand by the park so the dog can run around at the same time as DS2 running around inside the play park bit. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone and all that ;)

Dukey-woo spots a lady with a squeaky ball and runs off....luckily she was headed in our direction anyway so i left him to it! She stops by me and explains she is a dog trainer and the other lady with her was having her first lesson in recall and a few other bits. So she stops by me so dogs can 'socialise' (honestly she used that word for sniffing butts) Duke realises she has treats and will NOT leave her alone! Now even though we've done training he is extremely selective as to when he will do as his told! But she says 'sit' and he sat  (of course he was only after a treat) he then decided to give her his paw, roll over, lay down and stay! HE NEVER DOES THIS FOR ME  but still I didn't say that and took all the praise for having such a well trained dog :rotfl::rotfl: She even guessed which trainer we had used because he was so well behaved :D Proud mummy moment (can i say that bout my dog????)

After that and a cuppa round friend's house I took ds2 to school. Turned my back on him for 5 seconds to put his bike in the shed and he'd flipping disappeared. 10 minutes spent frantically searching everywhere and he'd decided not to go to nursery but to take himself off to the main bit of school where he knew he would find DD!!!!!! KIDS!!!

Gym done after all that excitement and now i'm chilling with a yummy salad (no, really!) and waiting for pick up at school. I should be cleaning but I really have no motivation for it. I still have dishes from last night (thanks to ds1 bringing a load down) and breakfast and well, sigh, can't be bothered.

Te$co delivery coming between 8-10 tonight so I will have plenty of time for cleaning after kids in bed later! I really hope i'm not the 10pm slot................!

  • Enjoy your time out before the kids return!
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • I've since heard from tenant. She can't pay me until 14th May when by then she will owe me £1050 :wall: She has assured me that she will pay all she owes at once. We will see.

I've also asked her to contact the HB department and ask that all future payments are made directly to me. I've told her a white lie and that the mortgage hasn't been paid for 2 months now because she was late paying and I'm in no position to have paid it any other way.

I sometimes wish the bank would repossess the house :o not that I want to make anyone homeless but being a landlord is hard work i'm so glad I don't have more than one!!!

Oh no cant believe shes not going to pay you for another 3 weeks . Did the HB place say they would pay direct to you? I dont know why they just dont do this anyway! My MIL has a few rental properties and this is always happening to her! Im not saying everyone who receives HB cant be trusted but some obviously cant!

OMG to DS wandering off, I bet your heart was well and truely in your mouth... little monkey!!!

Hope the shopping has been delivered xx

Not sure if you saw this which I posted on KJ's thread:

Just remember that if your tenant is 8 weeks behind with their rent and are in receipt of HB then you can write to the council to tell them (with proof) and they have to then pay it to the landlord direct until the rent gets under 8 weeks again.

The tenant gets no say in the matter.

Usually though after the rent is under 8 weeks they don't change it back because there is a risk that they might fall into arrears again.

Also there is safeguarding which is if the tenant has an addiction, has debts or other problems that make paying rent difficult you can ask the council to safeguard the rent (no matter what the arrears).

They haven't said they will pay it to me, no, but i've asked her to ask them. If they say no (not sure why they would, but i don't really understand the ins and outs of all this) then I will take EE's route....

Thank you I probably did see it but it didn't register. The rent will be 8 weeks late exactly right around the time she is paying so if she doesn't pay up then I will be on the phone to the council. Am fed up of it I've got bills to pay as well as her! I'm sick of the sob stories now!

  • Good Morning!

A day off from the gym for me today so I've got lots of jobs planned.

    Have already:

    * dropped a crying 4 year old off at school, I told her off for picking flowers from my already rubbish garden (that bit of purple was the only nice thing left the dog hadn't already eaten!) and smacking her brother. So she was sobbing when I left, and I felt
    A W F U L :( *glum face*

*made a base for a banoffee pie, it's in the fridge cooling.

    *put a wash on

*made another load of washing powder

*done 3 lots of washing up -just where does it all come from! I miss my dishwasher. still.

So i'm having a tea break now and waiting for my boiled eggs to cook. I'll be dropping ds2 off later and doing another wash and the ironing at some point. Also need to do the cream and bananas for the cake (although may leave that for kids to help with after school- might cheer up dd :p )

Oh I applied for some freebies yesterday too- one was 5 samples of wallpaper it's A4 sized so am thinking of doing something with them- perhaps in frames for the kids room / my room as both our rooms are a bit bare :rotfl:

Also going to fit in a bit of 'me' time today and pop to sunbed & do a meditation ( i need to find my Zen it's seems to be lost lately!):rotfl:

Going to sit with my cuppa now though and catch up on some diaries :A

Why is it that the kids can be little monkeys yet we are the ones left feeling bad!! Like PLMBL says she will have totally forgotten about it by the time you pick her back up.
