ah good old youtube! I've used that more than the silly magazines sometimes i can tell you
i'm trying to be mse about it and have subscribed until all the freebies are sent out (2 more subscriptions i think) and then i was thinking of cancelling anyway
You get 2 balls of wall per magazine so that is 8 every £18 order. So i've worked it out that I am paying £2 for the magazine (plus needles, etc that they send) as wool in the shops is £1-2 per ball :money:

I have been meaning to start some patchwork quilting and have all the bits for it but never seem to find the time to actually do it. Must try harder. Also would like to try crochet too.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

You will be doing those tricky slip stitches before you know it - transfer the stitch to the right hand needle without knitting it, knit the next stitch, pull the unknitted stitch off the needle over the top of the just knitted one, give yourself a pat on the back, you have now done a slip stitch.
Next lesson?

Evening all! Well another NSD here
The weather has been ok-ish up until around 4pm and then the sun came out in full force. It's done this for the last few days which is pretty annoying as that's when i'm stuck in the kitchen cooking and cleaning, hmph!
Just catching up with the news and watching the arguments over whether Mrs T was a good PM or not. I have to say I don't really have an opinion either way, I was born the year she came to power and was very young throughout her reign. Quite fed up with some of the nastiness around it all though. At the end of the day they should respect the fact others will be mourning her and don't need to hear about all the bad things she did! Anyone see the B0ston bombings tooshocking! I've got friends doing the L0ndon one at the weekend and I know they are worried a little now!
Anyway enough of the news.
Kids are tucked up into bed, i'm in my bed and it's tv time and sleep soon. Shattered!
Hope everyone is having a good dayMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Hi EE, I got all of my ingredients from @mazon as I have never seen it in the shops and thought i'd save my petrol money by searching for it :rotfl: It was pretty cheap anyway as was the soap (4 bars for around £3) and the soda crystals so the cost was less than £11 for all of it, HTH :TMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Morning/Afternoon!
Well the sun is out , sort of, and i've got a wash out on the line. I'm just waiting for it to blow away ! I'm ready for the gym, will be dropping ds2 off at nursery in a mo and then going off to exercise! I've got a thrown together chicken casserole in the slow cooker! Not sure how it will turn out, i've improvised a little (a lot actually) and it's got carrots as I had a whole bag full, lemons, spices and onions lol Let's hope it tastes ok later :rotfl::rotfl:
Need to make some bread today but will have to do that later now!
Been another NSD think that is 3 or 4 in a row now :T they are very easy to do when you are broke mind you
