  • Just signed up to the drivers club on shell for the £20 for £10 offer thing. I got my card last week and forgot to do it then oops! It says I have to wait 48 hours again now before seeing my details and choosing the reward?! Will keep checking as I need petrol soon so would rather use this than money if it doesn't take too long ;)

Off to gym now! See ya soon :)

Fairly certain the rewards voucher for petrol are only sent out every quarter so you may not get them for a while

Gosh you have had a very busy couple of days. Bike ride sounded traumatic, well done you for taking charge

Found this in the small print of the email from Sh3ll

Once received please ensure you register your loyalty card - using the not registered option on the shell website, before the 30th June 2013. Your chosen reward voucher will then be received mid-August 2013. You can register your loyalty card after June 30th, however your reward type will therefore arrive later than August 2013.

Hope you enjoyed the gym Xx

'enjoyed' & 'gym' never go together in my sentences when i'm talking about exercise :rotfl: I don't like it really, but I know it's good for me, allows me to eat rubbish and makes me feel a bit better about myself and I feel healthier. So i persist. Really don't like it though :o:rotfl::rotfl:

  • Evening! Well today was NSD #7 :j:j only 8 more to go :rotfl:

I tried to make cakes today and some scones for snacks. Well realised I had no butter so went to all the trouble of googling for recipes without butter. Then realised I had no eggs :wall: dh & ds1 had obviously helped themselves, not told me to replace it so I didn't  I now have to go out tomorrow and get more shopping in :( I've asked dh if he has any money left in his bank as i'm broke (sort of....don't want to dip into funds!?) and he said he will have a look for me. I spent some of the food budget on the kids room & the kitchen & now my room (blinds) :o oops! I have enough meat left for around 8 meals (should be 10 or 11 but dh used too much for a bbq :( ) i'mn starting to get a little frustrated with the lack of on-boardness from dh & ds1 when it comes to eating me out of house and home and debt-busting.

Anyway rant over. DS2 made me laugh earlier. We were on the way home from nursery & school and this is how the conversation went:

    Ds2: Mummy when's my birthday?
    Me: End of July, why?
Ds2: When is end of July, is it now?
Me: No it's June at the moment, July is after June.
Ds2: *thinking* hmmm, so where is July hiding then?
    Me: *confused look*
Ds2: Is it in the sky hiding behind the clouds waiting for June to go.
Me: *still confused and not sure what to say*
Ds2: No it's definitely hiding cos I can't see it.

End of conversation  The minds of young children eh!

  • Adorable!! What a lovely little man.
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Afternoon, spendy day here unfortunately as food needed topping up. Spends in farm shop & te$co. Went with a friend too and showed her the delights of the farm shop and local food she was suitably impressed with what she managed to get for £6 and said she'll be back ;) She'd have to come when I go though as she doesn't drive :p Also put £40 in the petrol tank (still have £40 left :T) which I hope will last a fair while :) Whilst we were at te$co my friend found £10 on the floor so we waited by the cash point where we assumed it must have fallen from and nobody came back. After 10 mins of waiting we decided to keep it :o we weren't sure what would happen if we handed it in (do they keep it if no one comes forward?) so instead we spent it on hot chocolate, latte & 2 slices of cake in co$ta inside the SM :o We felt so guilty afterwards but we decided it must be karma and perhaps we'd been good so were being treated (??? any excuse ??? ) but we had waited as long as we could really as we were on a bit of a time limit ourselves for school runs (even though we managed to fit 20 mins in co$ta into our schedule :p)

This evening is the famous minted lamb chops from farm shop number 2. They had better taste delicious or else. Not that i'm even hungry now after my white chocolate and blueberry cake :o:rotfl:

Got £60 off DH leaving him with £20 in his bank for him -i'm going to ask him to pay for ds1 kung fu out of that which is £12 till end of month....we'll see if he agrees though..... Which means I should have enough food money now till end of month :T

Hoping for a nsd tomorrow, we don't need petrol, food or anything else that I can think of! Hopefully the weekend might follow suit too to save a little money! DH's father's day treat is already paid for so really don't need to spend money anywhere else that I can think of. Online banking is done today and money transferred in and out might check it again later though and see if there is any money from tenant yet as received a random text from her suggesting there might be. Anyway school run time so ciao for now :A
