Great that you got the rent money, is she up to date now?
Well done on getting the presents sorted, i'm sure you will sort the £40 needed!0 -
Penny i'm not sure that is a job when I have an hour free for sure! Want to get that letter written and sent off asap so think Monday morning will be devoted to that.
Just popped on to say I am well chuffed I have acquired a free extending Table and 4 chairs this afternoon. I just happened to be on FB at the right time on a sales site and it popped up as free and I snapped it uphave been wanting to replace my table for ages as ours is cheap rubbish arg0s type MDF carp. (which i only bought as was super duper cheap) I did NEED 3 chairs as my old ones broke slowly over the last few weeks so i'm happy now as it was free, and very local
I am planning on shabby chic'ing it as it's an awful orangey pine (sorry if you have this or like it, it's not my cup of tea!) just need to choose a colour! :T
Oh and I hope to sell on/ freecycle my table when i've finished this one so it won't be going to landfill
Pics all uploaded ready for fleabay for other shabby chic'd bits already completed. Wish i could put them on here but it's too much of a pain plus I don't want to get recognised (posted some on my fb) xx

Thats brilliant news, I know what you mean about the orange look, think it was very fashionable in the 80s, my kitchen cupboards have the same look, one day when i have time I want to sand them and paint them in cream eggshell.0

yes that's the look....1980s...i'm sure my mum had lots of it too (perhaps that's why i don't like it lol I remember her moaning after a while..)
I'm desperate to get started on the sanding and stuff but the kids have commandeered it and are using it as a denwill have to wait until they are in bed

Just realised Yesterday was NSD #9 :j:j Today might well be #10 but i'm secretly hoping DH gets home from the zoo with my car so I can pop to a DIY shop and buy some sandpaper, primer & paint
:rotfl: I started sanding this morning with my borrowed sander and the sand paper broke after doing 1/3 of the table. DS1 and I managed to use the torn bits to do two chair tops though :T so only 4 more chairs to go  and 2/3 of the table :rotfl: (easy?!) I can't wait to finish it and get it in my kitchen all done :T I may try posting a pic of that one
oh and whilst looking for items to 'dress' our for sale pieces I came across a wedgewood set in my wardrobe
which I had forgotten about
:o mum had given it to me ages ago and I think it was hidden from the babies...well they're not babies anymore and haven't broken anything in a while :rotfl: so i've chanced them out again on my kitchen table! A lovely set of candle sticks and a medium sized plant pot :T You might almost think I had some money if you came into my house now (via the back door straight into the kitchen where they live :rotfl:)
