DH has gone to bed with a dicky tummy so i'm browsing on fb pages (uh-oh) but am quite pleased with myself, i've managed to bag 2 christmas pressies for a nephew and niece (both new in boxes) for £8 :T Both worth around £10 rrp
so that's 2 pressies down and only 6 to go  thankfully I have 6 more months to find a few more bargains!

Well done on the bargains, your very organised i've not even thought about Christmas yet.0

Have picked up bargain xmas pressies and VERY happy
they look better in real life than in the pics and also look expensive. Whilst rooting around earlier for a stamp I also found another birthday/christmas present to add to the box :T so will see if it is suitable for any nieces/nephews and cross another off the list if it is :T then all I need to do it buy for our (mine and DH) brothers & sisters....with 7 between us that takes a while esp when they are all married off too so need to think of some good joint pressies or very cheap (but not cheap looking) seperate pressies
Yesterday I bought some second hand bits for ds2 (spiderman suit & ben 10 suit) and today the new versions of them turned up from amazon. I was going to send them back as i'd managed to source second hand ones but now i'm debating keeping them :undecided They look much nicer and are a lot smaller than the other ones and the ones we've already given him are really big for him. Will have a think on it i think. DH said to keep them as then he has a spare set (as he's heavy handed) and also one can be in the wash at a time then!? hmmm...
I'd like to say a big thank you to mrs PG! I received lots of dress-up clothes in the post for DD too (which nicely coincided with ds2 getting the second hand ones yesterday) so she will have a nice surprise later and it will save me buying her a treat at the weekend :T as i'd promised her yesterday she could have something as her brother had had lots of stuff!
Been for a dog walk this morning for an hour and half and am really feeling it now....and i'm due to be at the gym in half hourwatch this space I think there will be a very tired and grumpy DFW here later on!

What a weekend! I'm exhausted!
I finally got round to painting my kitchen & the kids room over the last 3 days :T They both look lovely now but have incurred some spendsI managed to buy one tin of paint for £3 as it was reduced because some was missing! I opened the tin up and only a teensy tiny bit was missing :T It was the exact colour i wanted so I bought it:T only needed another tin at full price so total spends on paint was less than £15 (i already had some at home too for kitchen) I also bought some accessories, blinds and storage and total spends including paint was £60 for the two rooms
(thanks to h0mebase for their sale plus 20% off the blinds! Paint was from b&m's)
So I cancelled gym today as i've spent the day finishing off the rooms and also i am shattered from painting! Have my bike ride tomorrow so early night for me I think
Have had two NSD's since the last time I posted too so am quite happy with thatI nicked the money for the two rooms from my grocery budget
 so I'm determined to make it stretch so I don't need to use the emergency funds!
For father's day I have booked him a half hour neck, shoulder & back massage :T and bought him that new blu-ray. I sold some items yesterday so the cost of father's day has been cancelled out completely :money: I need a birthday present for my nephew for the beginning of July and i'm due a tenner from a survey site so I may use that if it gets here on time! My other nephew was excited to receive his voucher last week as it meant he could choose his own present
No rent money yet but hey I guess I better let it wait 3 months before panicking heyHope everyone is well

Wow i'm exhausted I don't feel like i've stopped since Friday! After my marathon painting spree I did more yesterday :eek: this time chairs and a bureau! I'm fed up of the sight of paint right now! Our stuff that we bought to shabby chic is very nearly ready :T Just need to varnish/wax pieces and then photograph ready for sale
I hope we at least break even on what we've spent after all the effort we've put in
Today my house needs cleaning but i'm pretty tired to be honest and I have promised to go to the gym so think I may just leave cleaning till tomorrow. It's not dirty as such as i've hoovered and polished but it's very untidy with clothes being the main culprit (clean at least I suppose ) followed closely by toys!!
Yesterday I went on my bike ride and another old lady came along she looked as old as my granny (in her 70s) now she may well have just aged badly and been younger but whatever, she hadn't ridden a bike in 10 years and we tried to advise her against it as the ride that day was a planned 5/6 miles. But she insisted. Cue 3 miles into the ride (3 miles from home!!!) she off roads the bike and smashes into a lampost. I panicked as I was right behind her and screamed which i think scared her more than the fall(a nurse I would NOT make!) and very luckily the group leader was a paramedic (ex) so he sorted her out. BUT very foolishly (i thought) turned down an offer of a lift home from a passer by for her and the bike (was a soldier just happened to be driving by in a truck).....so I ask him what he plans on doing once the bloke has driven off and he goes 'oh, hmm I suppose she'll have to walk home' whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! Crazy fool. I told him to stay put and I would ride back with the other man in charge of the bike ride and we would drive back in my car and pick her up and the man with me could ride her bike back :wall: Good lord, a little common sense people!!! So I did just that even though the group leader was protesting that he was in charge (hmm yeah right :rotfl:) and the lady was fine to walk back! So he starts walking her back and we scoot off to get back quicker to come collect her. The third person with us was just another rider like me and she stood with the bikes back at base, whilst we drove back to collect her. She had got a 100 m up the road before stopping!!! Then what would he have done without a car???? Oh dear!
After that I dropped ds2 off at school and tried a new farm shop nearer to home by about a mile in the opposite direction from the other one and on recommendation from a friend. So I get in there and ask for some minted lamb chops that she recommended. And they were £12.85 :eek::eek::eek::eek: AFTER i picked myself back off the floor I promised to come back again and rushed off :rotfl: They had better taste [STRIKE]nice[/STRIKE] FAN-bl00dy-TASTIC!
Took dog for an hour and half walk. was supposed to be a quick half hour as i was tired from the morning's fiasco bike ride and nope stupid me decided to try a new country park and well, I got lostso after panicking again for the second time that day I finally got home to paint two chairs, hoover, wash up, hang washing out and clean the bathroom. Then last night I went to my friend's house to finish painting something else. Tired doesn't cover it :rotfl:
Today i'm on a berroca day (but the cheap version) and already taken up a spiderman suit, cleaned and washed up. I need a nap!
Hoping today is a NSD :T Yesterday clearly wasn't :rotfl: Oh and after saying my room was the only one that needs doing I spotted a roman blind for sale £10 (laura ashley one :T) so i bought it and already have magnolia paint to touch up the walls so i can now do my bedroom when i'm not so sick of the sight of paint that is
