Checked bank and there was £112 'spare' it's not quite enough to pay the whole debt off so i've paid back funds instead that I borrowed from at the beginning of the month so I could have cash out to pay for everything without a card :)

£80 back to the car fund so that's all squared away now.
£30 back to house fund (still need to put £270 back in !)
and panic fund is paid back!

So if tenant actually pays this month her money will be added towards child tax credits & child benefit which will equal -£811 :T it will be divided as follows:

    £100 to emergency funds
£60+£270 that I owe to rental house funds
£30 to dentist/prescription/glasses fund (haven't paid into this for months now :o)
    £25 to car tax fund
    £90 to p@rk for xmas

So this should leave £236 (this is if no emergencies arise!!) I may decide to put a little more into my car fund too as MOT is due in August. BUT I will still have enough left to pay at least one debt off :T

I've told DH that he is to pay for the kung fu membership from his money and for the monthly fee. It's only fair he has to budget for something he has a few hundred in his bank 'spare' ;) hence the reason why I have extra money this month!

  • Farm shop & visit to town done. Hopefully I shouldn't need to spend too much more money this week now :T I managed to do the shop yesterday after dh got home with kids..then last night i went to the pub for the first time in months with a friend. We just went locally so as to save money but we still spent £20 each  today is a NSD instead! so up to 2/15 this month so far :T

I also booked the kids birthday party last night ...we costed up a bouncy castle, some food, party bags & stuff for a few games and it worked out just as cheap to send them to the local soft play. It's a joint party to save money and as they are only 1 yr apart anyway they share pretty much the same interests :T i have booked it for the week in between their birthdays and they are allowed 4 friends each. I think we will invite both neighbour's kids so that leaves 3 friends each (one neighbour has a son same age as ds2 and they are great friends and the other neighbour's son is in DD class at school so they aren't being invited out of feeling obliged)...included is 90 mins of soft play, food & party bags :T it will cost me £8 per head and the birthday girl/boy gets a little present too. My house will remain intact for not much difference in price of doing it at home so win-win in my eyes. They were charging 10p per invite but i will just let the kids make their own from the arts & craft box we have (and the hundreds of blank cards i bought the other day ;)) so a little more personalised and free :money: I just need to make a cake nearer the time and am not sure if I should make 2 or not  money came from their birthday fund so it's no dent to my budget. I've paid half now and half on the day I believe.

DH took kids out earlier (what is he after I wonder) and is now cutting the grass without me moaning for weeks on end about the growing jungle (he only did it 2 weeks ago )

I've submitted gas & elec readings to Edf now to await the final bill from npower _pale_

I've no energy today so just going to try and chill without peeing dh off (he always gets annoyed when i have tired days, but it's not like i can help it really?!)

    hope everyone is well :A

  • Hi DFW. When my 2w were little they used to have their parties at a soft play place, it was great everything was done for you and as you said your house remains in one piece.

Hope the final bill from npower isn't too bad.

    Hi DFW, :hello:

Eight squid a head is pretty :money: for an all-in birthday treat! :T

More hopes that your final nPower bill isn't as bad as expected..
  • Morning!

Glad you agree about the soft play, I've been beating myself up over it but DH thought it was cheap too so I just went and did it ....i'd been umming and ahhing since April about it :o I suppose this is good though and shows I def have dropped some of my impulsive ways ;)

I've made £2 today, £2.50 more to come later :T It should be £4.50 but I noticed a small tear and stain on the dress I was selling later so have messaged lady and told her she can still pick up if she wants but it's stained (think it will come out but not certain) and it's free ...rather not have upset wives banging my door down ;)

I've a wash on and one out drying. It's quite sunny but it's threatening to hide behind big clouds so hoping everything dries off!

DD & DS1 back to school already :T had a mahoosive row with ds1 this morning though :( feel bad now. He came down in scruffy un ironed clothes and I know he has ironed ones as I spent so long ironing them! So he rows with me about it doesn't matter and he still probably looks better than the other lads there who never even wash their uniform or themselves (cheeky s0d) and it ended up with me frog marching him upstairs to get ready and shouting 'in my day i'd have got a wallop for speaking to my muvva like that' :rotfl: with DH stood downstairs telling me to shush. Well that is like telling a bull in a china shop to not knock anything down so I started shouting at him 'I don't give a flying f*&k what the god damned neighbours think actually ' :o:o:o have suitably calmed down now to be allowed back into public i think :o

So this morning i've half made a banoffee pie, scrubbed living room clean of half term madness and have a wash on and one out. Cleaned bathroom and dh walked dog and took ds2 out for a while (think he was trying to placate me after my little episode) :o:rotfl: It worked i feel better now. And before ds1 went to school i gave him a cuddle and told him i loved him, feel awful shouting but sometimes it really is the only way to get through to him otherwise he mutters, mumbles and throws the odd 'whatever' out which winds me up no end :( And in my day I really would have gotten a wallop!

Plans now are to have a cuppa and get me & ds2 changed. He's off to nursery & i'm off to the gym. My pass ran out last week  so i've sent dh to work to get a new one but we're going to be naughty and go to the gym with the expired ones (it ran out on 31st may) they never check anyway and if they do it'll be cuppas round mine after me pleading ignorance 'oh my, it's run out? well i never! I honestly hadn't noticed. So sorry' :D

Should be a NSD if I manage to avoid the reception at school as I owe snack money as it's a new half term! Oh and I have transferred child benefit out to savings already so i don't spend it :T

    xx

  • OMG you sound so like me with my son, the amount of time I've shouted 'I don't give a damn what your mates do no son of mine is ...............', he's only 9 i'm dreaded the teenage years:eek:.

I do think that sometimes with the male species both young and old that you need to loose the plot with them every now and then, its the only way they seem to take notice.

Hope you get away with the gym pass.

:rotfl::rotfl: glad it's not just me then! My ds1 was an angel up until he turned 9 or 10 then he just turned into one of those harry enfield characters, Kevin & Perry (he's both all rolled into one :rotfl:) i'm hoping he grows out of it as he was always such a sweet boy!

  • My DS was always so sweet, but recently he has turned into a little horror, if I hear ' it's not fair mum' one more time.
  • Gotta be the age then! I think boys are worse than girls for this for sure! He never helps in the house either unless badgered! I remember doing all my mum's ironing, sewing & other bits she hated lol without bribes of pocket money, cakes or threats!

On a different note I have a smelly drain anyone know how to clean them?! I just put bi-carb down the sink left it and then put vinegar over it. It fizzed up like a chemistry experiment :T doesn't mean it's worked though ;) anyone got any other tips in case it doesn't work...i think it's the washing machine rather than the sink though so perhaps a blocked pipe, hmm best get DH to look?
