Oh i forgot to say yesterday, that i was watching superscrimpers whilst cleaning and one of the old ladies on there uses the same 'all purpose spray' as me :T it's great for cleaning mirrors/bathroom/kitchen/ whatever

    All purpose spray:

need- 1 spray bottle (again i recycled one of my old ones), vinegar, water, tea tree oil.

I put 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water and 6 drops of tea tree oil. Mix it up and it's ready to go. Much cheaper than flash/mr muscle and just as good. Tea tree is antibacterial so helps to kill any germs.

I made a toilet cleaner the same but I added 1 tsp of baking soda to it also and some lemon essential oil (smell nice!) and give it a good shake before each use.

Nearly all my old cleaners have been replaced now slowly but surely :) the last month of shopping i've not had to go down the cleaning aisle, the bread aisle or the toilet roll aisle (bulk bought from @mazon) I just need some chickens, a cow and an orchard and veg patch and i'm all set to be self-sufficient :rotfl::rotfl:

More cleaning recipes here as well as on Mrs B's diary ! Fantastic ! I just need to set aside a whole day to get making everything.

I honestly cant understand why you don't have the obligatory Orchard or cow for that matter by now DFW, you really are slacking !

Can you please hurry up and find out how we can make our own loo rolls as well please, my lot get through so many of them its costing me a small fortune ! xx :D

  • Fab use of the clubcard vouchers, must remember that for next time! I've just used mine for a year long English Heritage membership :j Plenty of free days out (if ever we get decent weather!).

Hope you feel better soon Xx

  • Got my emails through already confirming clubcard deals :) happy with that!

Mrs P I wish there was an mse way of making loo rolls....however i'm not sure recycled newspapers will quite make the mark so i'm all out of ideas (i'm sure that's what they used to use in school loos!)

Well i'm feeling a bit better now, can't shift this headache though :( going to take some painkillers and head off to my friend's house this evening to do some painting! I might feel better with a change of scenery and if I don't it's only a 5 min drive home again

I've found a different dance school for DD to try (another free lesson too :money:) it's £3 per half hour rather than the £4 i was quoted from the last one. So I shall see if she likes it and go from there :T

    Right bedtime for kids now........:beer::rotfl:

  • Afternoon!

DS2 & I are cuddled up on the sofa watching iron man II. He's had a poorly tummy so is off now until Monday.

I got the free trainers & shoes delivered to me today :T fantastic value if I may say so :D The school shoes look like they've been worn a few times only and the trainers are only showing wear on the soles (but still tonnes of life left in them :T) Super happy with that! Going to wash the trainers and put them away with the school shoes until ds2 is in a size 10 :j He already has another pair of buzz lightyear trainers in that size too I picked them up when a$da had a sale for £2 and he has the wellies in that size awaiting him too from that bundle I got the other week! 4 pairs of shoes/trainers & wellies for a couple of quid, super :D Now to search out some for DD

Have hung one wash out today even though we were supposed to get rain. It's not arrived yet but i've just hung the second wash of the day in the house, just in case!

Tenant rang me earlier apologising for late rent, blah, blah. She said it should all be paid by next week. Just in time for the next set of rent to be owed...... *insert eye rolling smiley* :D

I've decided I want to paint the kids room so if she does pay me I will go get some cheap paint. Their room is very lairy as when we bought the last lot of paint the picture on the tin lied to me. It was supposed to be a soft pink and a baby blue. It's in fact a royal blue and bubblegum pink. Yuk. They've got every colour in their room at the moment so it doesn't matter what I choose as there will be something to go with it :rotfl:

Had a salad for lunch and so far tummy is better (no cramps right after eating :T) so hoping the bug has gotten lost now! On the subject of food, I followed over from someone's diary the other day to ag1rlcalledj@ck's blog. I asked dh to make the sunshine buns for me last night as we had a pineapple that needed using up. They tasted foul though :( not sure what we did wrong, must have been something cos lots of people have left messages saying how lovely theirs was?! Thinking we have lots of bird food now :( can't see the kids eating it! Oh well.

Nothing planned this evening, tomorrow or over the weekend as i'm waiting on that payment from tenant. Have lots of things that need paying and I want to do it NOW!!! Grr!

Need to do a shop and the only voucher I have is for sainsbug for £3 off a £30 shop. Not exactly as good as last week's voucher  but it's the only one I have atm.....?!

Anyway enough from me, haven't really much to say (and yet I still can't shut myself up......):rotfl:

  • Morning, not a great one here, weather-wise nor well-ness wise :( DD somehow snuck into my bed and at 5am this morning was sick all over it, I picked her up to take her to the bathroom and she was sick all over me, all over every bit of floor we passed and all around the loo. She'd finished being sick by the time i got her there :undecided_pale_ So we were all up by half 5 this morning except DS1. He got out of bed at 7.30 when he needs to leave for school at 8.10  so he ends up dawdling about and then tells me (after I've done his lunch) that he doesn't feel too great either and has a massive headache (how mine started) so I've called his school and he's off too! He's been sent back up with a hot water bottle, hot drink and told to sleep the headache off (it's a horrible one and I don't want him being sick at school)!!!

SO happy Friday to me! 3 kids off sick! Dh was grateful to escape to work I bet!

No money in my account from HER (f'ing Tenant!) i'm tired and grumpy and want to go back to bed!

    Jobs for today:
    wash all the sicky stuff!
    washing up
    dinner
running round after 3 sick kids!

I went to b00kers last night with dh. Picked up white vinegar and bi-carb in bulk :T that's all i wanted and needed and yet I still managed to end up with £36 worth of stuff instead of the £10-15 of stuff I needed! That'll teach me for going in with 3 kids and a husband in tow :wall::rotfl:

It's at times like this that I wish I drank coffee........Zzzzzzzzzz!!!!

Hers definitely looked nicer than ours! :o Perhaps i'll try again one day!

I need shopping next week and will probably end up spending £30 so maybe I will do it there, but sainsbug in my opinion is more expensive and doesn't have as much organic in stock as the te$co (they have the shelf space but it always seems to be low stocked and none left when i go) so not sure if I want to bother with it. May just go te$co and get the clubcard points. OOoooh what a dilemma :rotfl:

  • Just going through the budget looking at spends this month. We've 2 weeks until payday hits the bank account  so far we've spent £453 on food & alcohol. I was hoping to get the food budget in under £450 this month but no way now... I might have been closer to the mark had I not had a DH who insisted on spending £50 on BBQ & alcohol stuff and then inviting all his mates over to eat it all , not had to buy bread flour, baking soda & vinegar in bulk! Also stocked the cupboards up well so I guess not all bad. But feel like this is a mahoosive spend all the same :o

Next month I need to spend £40 on a membership for ds1 to the martial arts club. DH went with him last night and has now decided he wants to do it as well ....so that will be £80 on memberships for the year :( plus £80-90 a month for 2x classes a week for the two of them. I feel this is an awful lot. DH insists everywhere is the same price.

Checked bank about 4 times so far. No money. Starting to despair now. :(
